Vote Tatum

Tatum is locked for 6 years compared to 3 for Embiid, 22, and likely to be overrated by GMs if anything due to him being old school friendly

Nominate Young

Embiid

PG

Went Embiid due to the extra year, but him/Curry/Kawhi are all a bit of a tossup. Given how well he's played this year, 3/$94M vs 2/$88M just went with him.

Are you voting more based on who you think is the best player out of the bunch? On court value

Because trade value wise, I think the contract matters quite a bit. Steph only having 1.5 years left on his deal vs Bam/Tatum with 5.5 years, or Zion with likely 7.5 years is a major difference when it comes to what teams would be willing to gut their assets for.

I was with you on LBJ, the impact he has on the game locked up for 2.5 more guaranteed years is more valuable then 7.5 years of Zion, but I can’t say the same for Steph at 1.5 years, due to the talent, durability and contract drop off from LBJ.

I understand full well what I am voting for and the difference between trade value and on court value.

I'm not saying you don't understand the thread, I'm just asking if thats by far the most important aspect when you're calculating a trade value.

I cast my vote. So far nobody else agrees with it so I understand I am an outlier. I stand by my vote and I feel like my record on this board has clearly demonstrated I understand all the elements that make up value and weighing all of them I voted for Steph Curry. Not sure why you wish to continue to insinuate I don't understand trade value, but I'm starting to get a bit offended by it honestly.

Vote: Embiid IMO just below Jokic due to lingering health concerns.
