I hope Sexton gets in. They've been a surprise team and need to be rewarded for it.

We are 3-0 when one of Booker and Paul are on the floor at all times. However, if you lower it to at least 41 minutes, they are 7-6, so it's been fairly random when you go below 48 and actually 4-6 if you go between 40 and 48. So 8-3 when under 40.

You know.....I almost dont want any of our guys to make the All Star game, I think it would be great bulletin board material down the stretch.
Fan voting is an absolutely joke - Klay, Wiggins, Carmelo, Alex Caruso getting votes. Fml.

That is pretty ridiculous shows how casuals know nothing about basketball or their just trolling to a certain extent. Also, I feel that Booker should at least be ahead of Morant if not for Mitchell as well. NBA please change all star voting to 25% fans, 25% players & 50% coaches to balance it more out.

Casual fans would rather vote Carmelo every single year even if he plays 10 games in one of those due to injuries rather than get Conley to make in once in his lifetime.

I enjoy the 8-3 record when playing under 40. Since both average 32-35 mpg meaning they dont play many 40 min games unless the game goes into overtime.

Yes, a Cav player definitely deserves making an a star considering it's been THREE long years since last one made it.

Gobert not being in the top 10 frontcourt vote getters is an embarassment. Most impactful defensive player in the league and best record in the NBA for the Jazz - that should make him a lock.

That just shows that casual fans only care about points scored and past reputations. Absolutely no reason why Klay, Carmelo or even CP3 should be getting any votes.

Zion and Morant also have no business being all-stars at this stage of their career, where their teams have losing records, and they're not exactly setting the world alight with their play.

Nice, doesn't surprise me at all. Our two best ball handlers, both with an elite mid range game....makes sense. Should absolutely always have 1 on imo

Completely different team though. Guys like Drummond and Sexton need to be considered.

Doesn't Drummond have enough all star games? Sexton I do agree he has been playing out of his mind in just his 2nd year in the league.

West All Stars to me are pretty clear cut this year:

LAL LeBron (s)
LAL Davis
LAC Leonard (s)
LAC George
UTA Mitchell
UTA Gobert
PHX Booker
PHX Paul
POR Lillard
DEN Jokic (s)
GSW Curry (s)
DAL Doncic (s)

2 reps each from the top 4 teams
1 rep from teams currently 5,7,8,9 (SA misses out)
Zion and Ja give people a reason to watch the rookie-soph game

The all-star thing is an interesting question, for sure, and while I'm a DBook fan, he certainly wasn't playing like one of the five or six best guards in the conference until just recently. I would have to give CP3 the nod between the two and even CP3 took some time to gel with his new team.

The more interesting question for me is how do the minutes get distributed if the team can stay somewhat healthy for awhile? Seems like we have a good problem this year with having plenty of guys who can contribute. Tip of the hat to James Jones, for sure, but I'm not convinced this is Monty's strong point. For example, E'twaun Moore has shown me some things on the court that I'd really like to see more of yet I fear that he will fall off the cliff if Cam Payne can get his game going. I know they like the pace that Payne brings, but Moore can be a steady back up for CP3, too. How will Galloway get minutes? He can go off for 10 points in about 3 minutes, at times, and they will need that.

Again, good problems to have and I hope we start blowing teams out more often so Nader, Carter, and Smith can get some burn, too.

The depth on this team is just absurd. It's so refreshing compared to seeing scrubs starting for us in previous years. Honestly going 8-2 without Booker for 3 ganes and Paul for 1 game is crazy, let alone all the others like Saric, Payne, Nader, and Smith being out. Who would have thought Frank would be our starting PF?

JJ and Monty deserve so much credit for the culture and players we have. Definitely candidates for Coach and GM of the Year.

Just twice with one being as a replacement.
I would prefer to see Sexton too. I just feel like they deserve someone to be there considering they've had a nice start to the year.

Points worth compared to league average:

+1 Offense Rating
-----
+2 from 2P%
+1 from FT%
0 from 3P%
0 from TO
-1 from OREB
-1 from FTA

+2 Defensive Rating
-----
+1.5 from 3P%
+1 from 2P%
+0.5 from FT%
+0.5 from DREB
-0.5 from FTA
-1 from TO

So we're a huge +6 points net per game based on shooting percentage differential from all 3 areas.
But we lose -1.5 points from FTA disparity, -1 from an extra TO and -0.5 from a slight rebounding differential.

If the Suns manage to grab one of the top 4 seeds in the West, James Jones 100% is Executive of the Year. COTY is always a less clear cut award IMO, but Monty should be in the conversation.

The offseason would have been perfect had we just nabbed haliburton. Winning heals all but god damn we would have been set for the next decade. Really an unforgivable draft decision...maybe a bigger blunder than the 2018 draft.

Also, you know that dreaded feeling we used to get when playing the Lakers during Nash's time on the Suns?

Yeah. Because it looks like we're both good teams again, that feeling is back.

22/4/4/2 on 64% shooting. Every Suns fans yelling at their TV for Haliburton yet James Jones is like, " nah, I feel something special with Smith". Let's hope down the line Smith excels and becomes 75% of what Haliburton produces.

Hard to gauge it off one season where one guy is getting a lot of burn on a mediocre Kings team and the other has struggled with health on a pretty good Suns team. A good rookie season isn't always a tell of a great career, I mean people thought MCW was the next Jason Kidd based on his rookie year and now he's a journeyman who's played for 6 teams in 8 years.

Based on the way Jones has managed our draft thus far, I'm ok with it. 2019 was pretty incredible in that he was able to turn #6 into Cam and Saric. That's REALLY good value for money. The Jerome pick I wasn't thrilled about but everyone here seemed to like it (Imagine if we'd had the foresight to draft Dort...).

Anyway...the point is....it's too soon to judge.
