Next up for Dallas is Detroit. Pistons are quite bad, but they are usually dangerous. Would love to see them beat Dallas. I want Luka to cuss out KP on the court...

DSJ had 9 points off the bench today. Hopefully he’s regaining his confidence

So basically only one player on your list plays defense

I was here 5 years before you talking about defense. The league has change. None of these cats play defense anymore.

How about your 5 favorite scrubs?

This dude comes with Kawhi and AD instead of Sexton and Randle?

I been calling AD the best big man in the league for years. Me and Greenie stanned for Kawhi in these threads.

To say nobody plays defense is 100% false

Curry and Lillard don't play any D man.

Well, he's been hurt.. he's older and heavier. I mean.. he doesn't rely on it anyway. He's pretty much a 3 and shotblock guy now. No more put backs.. doesn't really fill lanes on breaks anymore. This is who he is now. But I don't remember him jumping and hanging. He's 7'3" maybe it looked that way to you.

Yeah he wasn't really a huge leaper.

The only thing though is that he used to be able to rotate better on defense. Hence the Knicks could have run a switching defense and you could have had KP defend the perimeter. Now his lateral movement looks shot. He can't really guard that well on the perimeter or in P&R. Part of that is due to being in the West, but the injuries have taken a toll. It's even impacted him from a shotblocking standpoint.

I can't disagree with any of that. He's reached his ceiling it appears. He was really good in the bubble.. then he got hurt again. Maybe he keeps gaining weight. That's what I would advise. Forget diversity in his game and just focus on the couple of things he does do well. Dallas is still a player away and it's going to be interesting to see who Doncic develops a friendship with out of the other good players as time goes by. Who is the guy that says hey I want to go to Dallas and play with Luka rather than trying to draft that player. Is it Jokic? Or does Luka look to leave?

Boston is 13-13

I have a couple of friends that felt losing Hayward was not going to be a big deal. Some in fact claimed he was one too many cooks in the kitchen offensively with Tatum Brown and Kemba.

Yet it’s clearly obvious they are missing his well rounded game. 17.5-6.7-4.1 on ridiculous 50/38/85 splits.

If anything Kemba is the one that needs to get off Boston. That dude is so unbelievably overrated. He’s also laughable defensively and got exposed in the playoffs for the world to see.

They are also so soft upfront. The lack of size is alarming. But honestly **** that team. I hope they fail.

AD just went into the locker room after saying his achillies got sore on him down the stretch of the Lakers last game.. that can’t be good at all.. they should’ve never played him after he admitted that

You're right on all the above.

I think one of the issues this year is that he may have put on more upper body weight than he really wanted to and thus looks very slow out there. He probably needs to rebalance the weight. Only thing to watch out for is that I believe he has small feet relative to a big man (he's size 15). That means he can't put on too much weight otherwise he'll have foot problems. Foot problems killed Yao's career in the NBA.

Big men 7'3 and taller rarely have long lasting careers in the NBA. Their primes are even shorter. Dallas has to mitigate those realities sooner than later. That means not playing KP back to backs, playing him less than 30 mins/game, probably turning him into a back-to-basket player that doesn't exert too much athleticism.

Dallas needs to find Luka a true Robin otherwise he's gonna be pissed

I guess I just turn games off when they're over because I never paid attention to what Doncic does after games when they lose. hahaha.. he is an Serbian though so that not really out of the ordinary. I wouldn't F with him just cause of that alone.

I could see the Blazers letting Trent walk this summer

they're already over the cap w/o a Trent extension. matching an offer similar to what Harris/Bogdanovic got (4yr/70-75M) would put them over the luxury tax

+ when McCollum comes back, the backcourt minutes will be crowded w/ Dame, CJ, Trent, and Simons (who's been very impressive this season). next season they can replace Trent by giving Simons a larger role

Right. His feet were screwed right from the jump. I'm 5'11 and my feet are wrecked I can imagine what his are going to feel like as he gets older. Foot problems are debilitating mentally. Your mind wants to go and go hard but you can't because of the feet. it really sucks.

Dallas losing to Detroit would be massive. They’re schedule coming up is difficult so they can fall down the standings: HOU, MEMP, BOS, PHI, BKN, ORL.

Christian Wood should be back for that game, and Memphis’s bigs should provide KP by getting pieced up :)

Return to New York Knicks
