Around the NBA - Curse all of the other teams here

I can't disagree with any of that. He's reached his ceiling it appears. He was really good in the bubble.. then he got hurt again. Maybe he keeps gaining weight. That's what I would advise. Forget diversity in his game and just focus on the couple of things he does do well. Dallas is still a player away and it's going to be interesting to see who Doncic develops a friendship with out of the other good players as time goes by. Who is the guy that says hey I want to go to Dallas and play with Luka rather than trying to draft that player. Is it Jokic? Or does Luka look to leave?
You're right on all the above.
I think one of the issues this year is that he may have put on more upper body weight than he really wanted to and thus looks very slow out there. He probably needs to rebalance the weight. Only thing to watch out for is that I believe he has small feet relative to a big man (he's size 15). That means he can't put on too much weight otherwise he'll have foot problems. Foot problems killed Yao's career in the NBA.
Big men 7'3 and taller rarely have long lasting careers in the NBA. Their primes are even shorter. Dallas has to mitigate those realities sooner than later. That means not playing KP back to backs, playing him less than 30 mins/game, probably turning him into a back-to-basket player that doesn't exert too much athleticism.
Dallas needs to find Luka a true Robin otherwise he's gonna be pissed
Right. His feet were screwed right from the jump. I'm 5'11 and my feet are wrecked I can imagine what his are going to feel like as he gets older. Foot problems are debilitating mentally. Your mind wants to go and go hard but you can't because of the feet. it really sucks.
Yes it is. I’m sure he’s thinking twice anytime he moves laterally, afraid that he’ll re-injure his knee.
At this point, he’s had nagging knee, achilles, and foot injuries over his young career - in both legs. Clearly a sign of overcompensating. These lower leg injuries are often interconnected too.
Ironically, RC may have threw him a favor by eliminating the Melo tendencies and restricting him to a perimeter shooter

Kawhi, the king of load management is not coming to play for Thibs, who likes to push his starters to maximum minutes overload.
Our chance for Kawhi ended once KD flaked on us.

We should tell Kawhi if he signs here we’ll trade whatever for whoever he wants to play with

His philosophy and Thibs philosophy is a major clash. It’d never work.

Probably right. I’m just fantasizing mostly it’s definitely a long shot at best that he even considers leaving LA.. unless they just completely bomb out the playoffs

KP will never be a superstar in this league if he can’t give his team multiple 30 plus point games on a consistent basis.

i like porter more too to be honest. kuz having a good year actually. shooting the 3 well, playing d & rebounding. much more of a team player now. now with obi and this version of randle though, no need for kuz.

thats a given at this point right? Does anyone actually believe they are in the same stratosphere of player?
MPJ got caught there not doubt.
Overall though MPJ has made major strides defensively this year...avg over a steal and a block in 27 MPG. Much more engaged on that end to go along with him being a walking bucket.
Just got to stay healthy.

they're already over the cap w/o a Trent extension. matching an offer similar to what Harris/Bogdanovic got (4yr/70-75M) would put them over the luxury tax
+ when McCollum comes back, the backcourt minutes will be crowded w/ Dame, CJ, Trent, and Simons (who's been very impressive this season). next season they can replace Trent by giving Simons a larger role
I think I would even trade one of them to upgrade DJJ or Nurkic.
god do I hope we get Trent.

no, this is almost over. Clarkson is averaging 17 points off the bench for the best team in the league.

Christian Wood should be back for that game, and Memphis’s bigs should provide KP by getting pieced up
We need them to go on another losing streak
