I agree.

It's a very safe move.

Horford knows the system and he's good on offense and defense.

Lakers lose to Nuggets and lose AD to injury.

It's a long season.

Right now there's no such thing as a sure thing.

There is 0 chance this happens. The Celtics arent going to pay 27.5/27/26.5 million the next three years to bring back a guy who is markedly worse than he was when he left when they didn't even want to pay him that before he left. If they didn't wnat to pay Myles Turner 18 a year, who is both better and younger, why would they pay Horford 27.5? Literally no chance.

What that would do to their tax situation the next three years alone would be a borderline disaster.

Not disagreeing with you, but circumstances have changed.

Celts didn't want to pay Horford 109m for 4 years, true.
But right now what's left is the 27m for next season and the 14.5m guaranteed in 2023.
Basically that's just 41.5m left.

Ainge didn't want Myles Turner, also true.
But that was before the Celts became a .500 team.
Right now the Celts are just a .500 team and could become worse than a .500 team if there are no changes made to the roster.

Horford is still better than Theis and TT right now.
He will bring more consistency and stability to this flawed Celtics team.

The intriguing prospect is Vucevic.
Not sure if he's a good fit, but he would really give the Celts the scoring punch they need and he will also get lots of rebounds.
But he's not very good on defense.

So if it's the 27.5m you're worried about, I don't think that will be a deal breaker because OKC will pay part of that 27.5m.
It's the 27m for 2022 and the 26.5m in 2023, only 14.5m guaranteed, that the Celts will have to decide if it's worth paying.

AD with achilles tendonosis. KD with hamstring strain. Kawhi with leg contusion. Smart with his leg injury.

All the superstars are falling like flies.

^ This is why I have no problem with Brad only playing Tacko during blowouts. Got to protect your superstars in this league.

Same approach with Nesmith since we've learned our lesson with Langford.

The short turnaround time from last season to this one and the very condensed schedule is taking its toll

And I'm guessing all the protocols are limiting their pre- and post-game training and conditioning routines too.

Horford is a much better player than Turner. Turner keeps no showing against good teams. Horford can shoot/pass/defend and he’s a good fit with the jays. Kemba for Horford would be a good trade. Kemba rehabs his value in OKC and Horford can go to a team that he’s thrive with before.

Wow, are the Raptors tanking? Maybe Lowry could actually get moved. You don't trade for Andre Drummond with the intent of winning more games.

No Kawhi and no Paul George and the Heat still lost to the Clips.

Wow!

Or Bev. Or Batum.

This season is crazy. We are really the Leastern Conference lol. The Celtics, Raps and Heat all went deep in the playoffs and all three are majorly disappointing this year.

Clearly the other NBA teams have gotten better.

Heat just lost one key player from last season's team that made it to the finals.

No Jae Crowder and suddenly the Heat are in danger of missing the playoffs?

This is crazy, and why I don’t love using raw numbers to evaluate players.

Reason for the increased scoring is the NBA rules made sure scoring will be up.

The "Freedom of Movement" rule started all this.
