**** me.

He can never do that ever again. I reckon at my age with my athleticism and lack of actual ability could get to that spot and not miss by that much.

Let's hope he starts hitting threes and we can move him on mid year. Yikes.

Donte is now up to 42% from 3.

Lopez + PatC to SAS for Gay + filler. Straight salary dump that would save us some cash this year for buyout market. Could still flip Gay to another team if needed.
DJA + Merrill + picks to ORL for Bamba. Save more cash for this year and get a good look at perhaps our C of the future, ORL is the one spot that might actually want DJA back. Could maybe convert to 3way with Gay and more sweetners go to ORL and Fournier coming back to us.

Both deals not likely to happen because other GMs are smarter than Horst.

DJA can’t defend of course. But on paper we should be getting more out of that signing.

And if he’s just not a good fit here for whatever reason some other team would likely want him. Agree that some kind of consolidation trade including DJ Wilson and whatever else could become our best bet to improve in that situation.

I have to disagree with your first sentiment. We really don't need another ball handler whenever one of Giannis, Middleton or Jrue is on the court (which should be all the time). Being a sniper is desired but taking the ball out of the hands of someone more capable is not.

That's why I have to disagree with your second sentiment too. Imo it's a slight mischaracterization of team needs accompanied with some player developement (especially Middleton, a bit of Donte) and player limitations (Giannis needing the ball to contribute) that limits the need of a PG off the bench. And we fans want Jrue to have even more touches which means someone has to seced touches.
We do need someone who can play point for the regular season (especially for times like these when someone of our big 3 is out) but in the playoffs when we ramp up the minutes DJA will mostly be off the ball and he's a huge negative at that.

Now I don't think DJA is a particularly bad player and we shouldn't be looking to just dump him but he's really not helping the team that much. If there's something out there that makes sense we should be looking into it.

If it's true that we want guards who don't need the ball, that could partially explain why DJA hasn't worked out.

This also relates to other discussions about whether or not Holiday should be more of a PG or SG ideally.

Our team collapsing the past few games with Jrue out is a wrinkle but it's not like Augustin has taken advantage of the opportunity in his absence.

Hopefully either the Bucks think something will happen that will turn it around for DJA here, or other teams also come to the conclusion that it's a fit issue, and his salary slot can help us as part of a package to get something better.

My main take away, Giannis sets an illegal moving screen that doesn’t actually prevent the guy from challenging the shot and rather than rolling into the wide open lane for a pass/dunk or rebound, he must have popped to the three point line for some reason.

Needs work.

DJ Augustin’s deal is essentially for 2 years. The third year isn’t guaranteed. It’s a placeholder for a potential trade that third season much like Ersan was this year. The deal would be guaranteed if he were to be traded that offseason to match salaries.

DJ has played pretty poorly thus far, but if he can right the ship back to his normal play it’s not a bad deal and could be handy for the Bucks. If he doesn’t, it’s essentially a 7 million expiring contract next year that will be good for matching salaries in a trade.

The 8 feet of space between Jackson (who is out of the lane completely) and the guy standing in the dead center of the lane facing Pat. Giannis has broad shoulders, but 8 feet of space is plenty to run through. If he does, he either catches a lob or throws down a nasty put back on that disgusting shot.

Yeah, zero reason why Giannis should ever be sagging back after setting a screen. Donte has a wide open 3 if Giannis fills the lane and kicks it out to him once his gravity sucks Horford and Jackson into the paint. Still needs to work on the little things.

He’s literally allowing no one to guard him in this instance. Too many instances. Put some pressure on defenders. Make them move. You shooting a three is a celebration for them every time.

At the very least, set an effective screen. If it’s going to be an illegal one, bury the guy.

Went looking at Detroit’s roster to see if there was some significant additional asset we could pry out in a Middleton for Blake deal. I can’t find it. Their roster is a dumpster fire.

I need your opinions. Should the bucks try and trade Drummond? I am more than hesitant but I wanna hear your perspective. P.S. Cavs will prob ask for picks?? Nets are reportedly intrested, do they have picks??

I don't see any reason Drummond fits on the bucks at all. He can't shoot and nothing fits contractswise either. Can at least have a discussion on Griffin's game but again that's not what the Bucks need.

It's really tough to come up with anything logical with Griffin for any team. No contender is gonna want him at that contract. So he'll get to another treadmill team like Det and the process repeats? Det probably missed their window after the 2019 with how great Blake played that year. Maybe Portland has some contracts that could work? IDK. But I think I'd probably go Love if I was them.

We could trade them Brook, Augustin, DJW, and Thanasis to make the trade work, but why would Cleveland do any of that?

How can anyone's main takeaway be anything other than Pat being an extremely limited offensive player? Dude just threw an open FT-line jumper clean off the backboard. Not even a whiff of rim. That is embarrassing and his teammates should endlessly ridicule Pat for that fugly shot, Bud for playing him, and Horst for resigning him.

Giannis could be sitting at 3-point line knuckle deep into his nose the entire time. That doesn't even compare to the awfulness of Conny on that play.

My take away is people making way too much of a bad shot. Balls slip, have a bad grip, etc, it's one shot. This reminds me of the jabroni during the bubble ranting how Gary Trent sucks because he shot a corner 3 of the side of the backboard once. Pat is hitting 38% of his 3s so far, he's been fine on the court so far in spite of being a bad contract. It's not his fault for taking the money. Obviously he shouldn't be the lead handler in a PnR like he was there.

Contractwise wouldn't it work if we gave them Brook, Pat and DJW?

While I mostly agree, the Bucks regressing is going to cause a lot of panic.
