If our defense was even average, we'd be running every team off the floor. Sacramento got whatever they wanted that half.

Good job by the 2nd unit. DJ + Shamet + TJ were pretty damn good.

Nash is playing this game backwards. green should be in when whiteside is... pull him away from the rim so they have no shotblocker. put DJ in otherwise, give us some shotblocking and make them jumpshooters. DJ gave up some offensive rebounds but the kings entire approached turned to jumpers once DJ came in. sometimes just having the threat of a bigman down low is all it takes.

Hopefully he starts DJ second half

Kyrie and Harden were unreal in the first half. no one on the kings can guard either one of them. but we sitll shot it well overall, you would think that comes back a bit on the road second half. we need stops. i want to see DJ/Pelle or some semblence of shot blocking and/or some zone. we cant have their smalls at the rim all day with no shot blocker. stop penetration or have some resistance inside

Nash needs to get DJ in the paint this half. we can't entertain the lay up drill defense any more

That's the modern NBA, it's great to finally have someone who can exploit the way officials call it. For as heavily as our system lands into shooting 3's, you've got to guard your own airspace by baiting defenders into fouling. Joe needs to learn this, so guys stop closing out on him so recklessly.
