also, didn’t Troy Weaver use his 7th pick on Brickillian Hayes last time? I feel like people sometimes assume that having high picks ends up with them being used correctly.

The higher you pick, the better. Simple as that.

We all need to be big Spurs and Warriors fans.....Pelicans, Rockets, Grizzlies too, but Spurs and Warriors have the strongest shot at the 7/8 seeds

top 6 look pretty solid w/ Lakers, Jazz, Clippers, Nuggets, Suns, Blazers.....need to keep the Mavs out of 7/8 and the Spurs and Warriors look like the best chance we have at getting a lotto pick from the Mavs

UTA showing no weak links will pile up W’s. I had them #1 in the west but 23-5? They might win 60 out of 72 which is the equivalent of 68 in a regular season

Knicks need to stand put and see if they can get players who are bought out or teams wanting to dump a player we can absorb for this year who actually still has talent. like the bench I just dont want to see payton or bullock.

7-10th seeds play elimination right? So we need to be Spurs, Warriors, Grizzlies, Pelicans and Kings fans.

I think Knick fans should be rooting for the Clippers to win a title and I know this seems counter intuitive because many believe a disgruntled Kawhi is more likely to want out of LA.

My reasoning is if they win a title he has done the unthinkable in bringing a first ever title to two different franchises with the Raptors and Clippers so to forever thrust himself into every conversation about basketball's GOAT he does that by bringing a chip back to mecca.

We have two games against the Spurs coming up, watch them put us on a back to back right before the AS break. Our last game is against SA.... Wonder if they'd make our last two be against SA

i think this logic is faulty. he wanted to be in l.a. all along. it's home. even in toronto they knew he wanted to be there. he won a championship and still left. so what would make him leave there ? complete and utter failure. losing in the 2nd round again or maybe even the 1st round. so you need to root against them if you want him to leave.

if we want kawhi (which of course we do, but i find it very unlikely we'd ever be able to acquire him for a number of reasons) we need the clips to underperform and for us to over-perform. we'd need him to feel like lue ain't **** and that thibs can move mountains

It's not faulty logic or in the reasoning, that would be his personal preference and it very well could be true. If the Clippers failed and he felt it wouldn't happen there but he wanted to stay home he probably would get over to the Lakers if legacy wasn't a priority over comfort.

My reasoning is based on him looking at his legacy and how to elevate it into the conversation for GOAT. If he wants to be on the mount rushmore of that discussion it won't happen with him joining up with the LeLakers. He may not care about that though.

Even if the Clippers were to win a title he may prefer to stay home and go for back to back or a second one, this is a very real possibility. Although, there is no flaw in logic to suggest if he won one with the Clippers that coming to the Knicks and win one in the mecca would make him a legend.

It just may be he doesn't want to leave home, that would be something which isn't motivated by logic but on sentiment to which he based his reasoning. I think you are conflating 'logic' with 'reasoning', these are similar but different. Sometimes one's reasoning isn't very logical but it still is 'reasons'.

Part of the reasoning I was using was him getting a title with the Clips and then coming to the Knicks would be if he won again he would be the first player in NBA history to win titles with four different franchises. This would set him apart from even LeBron but not join LeBron to do it.

I can't get inside his head to know his priorities and motivations but my reasoning is sound even if it's not his. My logic isn't flawed either because that scenario would elevate him to a level that puts him in the conversation of GOAT even if it's not his logic.

i'm not talking about his logic, i'm talking about yours. it'll illogical to think he's gonna leave the place he wanted to be if he wins there. he was trying to get to l.a. since he was a spur. jesus christ with this whole speech you just gave. just say "i didn't know how much he wanted to be in l.a. for reasons outside of basketball" see how easy that is. i wasn't trying to insult you.

You still are conflating reasoning with logic. He may prioritize being in LA over legacy so his reasoning would be to stay in LA whether he wins with the Clips or not either by staying with the Clips or going to the Lakers.

If that is the case this would be 'logical' in his 'reasoning' according to his values, or priorities. If he prioritized being at home over legacy and left LA to come to the Knicks to try and win one this would support my stated scenario but would be 'illogical' in his 'reasoning' according to his values.

Reasoning doesn't have to be logical and it doesn't even have to be based on someones values/priorities. You are assuming you know what his priorities will be of he wins a title with the Clippers. The past isn't always a predictor of the future and people change so consider that.

Not saying I know what he will do or wants but I think for the Knicks to get Kawhi as a FA the best possibility comes from him winning in LA with the Clips because if he loses and wants to bail he probably goes to the Lakers because he's not mentally prepared to be in NY as a Knick.

He may want preferential star treatment to come to the Knicks and the FO won't do it that way so he won't come. All speculation but it's possible, who knows. Of course I don't know his mindset now or in the future, I'm just looking at legacy but that may not be his priority.

Oh...and someone with over 100k posts on here needs to STFU about speeches....
