So.. we didn't do right by Frank? Was it a season ending injury?

The Magic need a PG right now. Even if he is only out 2-weeks, sadly, this is the correct decision for the team.

Does Mason still get paid?
Would suck if he got injured to get left out to dry.
Nope. But this is the expected outcome of his injury. And the real threat of players signing these extended two-way deals (worth 52 games). In years past, a guy like Mason would have got a vet-deal, got injured, and then got paid.
For example: Isaiah Briscoe's retirement was pre-paid by his injury. Other examples of pre-season in-game injuries leading to guaranteed contracts (whereas if the player had hurt themselves gardening; then nothing).
This is awful for Mason.
..
Thanks for the detailed answer, drsd.
All the best to Frank.

Why not sign him back?
Youre not in the minority, 90% of magic fans loved that scrub
I talk alot of **** on twitter, NBA\NFL\MLB, music, politics etc........Ive never gotten more hate comments than when i called briscoe a scrub
whole Magic fanbase has very strange obsession with bums.
As soon as we drafted Iwundu there were 5 comments who compared him with Jimmy Butler
Really?
Iwundu is a simple role player based on what I've seen during his college days. Like a low based utility player type.

Yeah.. where did this Jimmy comparison come from? In my recollection when we drafted Wes there were a lot of.. Who?What?Where? for this guy.

Took me forever to found draft thread but there are some of the hot takes, with Weltman being biggest clown.
Weltman on @OrlandoMagic No. 33 pick Wesley Iwundu: "This guy is going to be a multi-position defender. He's going to be a guy we can grow."
Pres of BB Ops Jeff Weltman on Wesley Iwundu:"He can be someone we look back & say, we got a steal at that part of the draft"
And more of Weltman's delusion and complete inability to understand basketball ( this time about Isaac)
Weltman: "Part of Jonathan's appeal is he'll be able to be a multi-positional player. He rebounds like a 4. He handles the ball like a 3."
Other than that, since those guys who were quick to hoop on "Jimmy Butler" comparison, i won't mention names
