Can we discuss Pat's contract without mentioning his relationship with Giannis? We shouldn't have to think about it but we all know the reason Thanasis is on the roster.

Giannis probably asks for a trade in a scenario like this
Maybe he should limited hid opinions so we can build a true contender for a championship. :D

The team in the East with far and away the most successful starting 5 isn't a contender? Silliness. Do the Bucks need to find another major bench peice? Sure, but they're still a being odds favorite to make the Finals.

It's not my opinion, it's the opinion of both Vegas and ESPN's statistical model.

The Bucks have areas they can improve but are clearly contenders. I think people just became accustomed to watching 1.5 seasons of the most dominant regular season team of all time. How, after watching years of .500 ball is something confusing to me, but it's clearly happened. The kind of RS success we had just isn't common.

Khris/Donte/Any picks we can trade for Beal/Filler?

I don’t think that happens but it’s probably the best we can offer.

I think when you look at what was required to trade for Harden, Jrue and PG13, that'll give you an idea of the package needed to get Beal.

MKE out: Khris/Brook/Pat/DJA
ORL out: Vucivec/Ross
ATL out: Rondo/Collins/Reddish/Snell/2 1sts

MKE in: Reddish/Rondo/Vucivec/Ross/1st
ORL in: Collins/Snell/Brook/DJA/1st
ATL in: Middleton/Pat

Atlanta upgrades a position, Orlando gets Collins and a future first from ATL. We send Khris and some of our poo poo platter out and get an all star back, clear some money.

Jrue/Rondo
Donte/Forbes
Ross/Reddish
Giannis/Craig
Vucivec/Portis

please stop this. He has the best AST/TO ratio on the team, and he's been above 2 for every season with the team.

As someone who doesn't have too much of a problem with Pat C I'm not really sure how this refutes his point. He's safe with the ball because he plays within his limitations but when he's forced to put the ball on the floor it's not exactly pretty.

someone with a terrible handle is going to make a lot of turnovers per assist. it's almost by definition of "handle."

since Khris is a better basketball player than Beal, that's a bad idea. Unless you think Beal's younger age means he has more growth, in spite of . . . not really growing as a player.

In what world? He barely dribbles the ball, and rightfully so, to limit his "handle". Outside of Brook and Bobby he has by far the lowest dribbles per touch which correlates with his extremely low seconds per touch for a wing. His handles kinda suck for a rotation wing. That's fine because he doesn't dribble that much and he knows when to move the ball. I'm sure if he didn't have comically low time with the ball you'd see his turnover numbers rise.

apparently you don't remember his first year with the team when he was bringing the ball up the court quite a lot.

Yes, the year he had .1 dribbles more per touch than Tony Snell.

Edit - That's prolific ball handler Tony Snell with his 3:1 assist to turnover ratio.

Point Pat was the master of turning a 30 point blowout into an 8 point win in 5 minutes of garbage time in year 1 with Bud.

It is not surprising that experiment was shelved quickly.

Reminder, all political stuff can be discussed on the Current Affairs board, not here. THANKS!

Literally every junk time ball handler has worked better than Pat, including Thanasis.

That's always been the problem with the Jrue trade. We gave up a superstar trade package for a Khris Middleton caliber player.

At this point you need to shake things up IMO. See what Khris and Brook can get you.

Beyond that we need some mentally tough players. We have such soft players. Need a Marcus Smart, Jae type guy.
