If the current version wind up against the Lakers for the championship, I'll have a hard time rooting for either of them, or even caring who wins.

All the personalities and drama aside, cheering for a Lebron led team vs. a Harden led team is a no brainer. Lebron plays the game beautifully and deserves every bit of success he has earned.

Then the Twolves beat the Raptors.

We need them to win a little, so this is good.

We want a 60% chance of hitting the 4th or 5th pick. Why do we need them to win a little?

It’s pretty close, honestly. Too close for comfort. Oubre is the only real talent upgrade from last year. Wiseman is of course talented but this year it’s not looking like he’ll be a big difference maker.

#4 would guarantee us either Suggs or Kuminga which would be mana from heaven

DLO out for 4-6 weeks for surgery. Good or bad for us.

These are our chances of landing each pick in the drift:

http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

The ideal situation really is for Minnesota to finish dead last. In that case, we have a 59.8% chance of picking either #4 or #5 and a 40.2% chance of ending up with Minny's 2022 #1 pick.

I'd personally rather have the unprotected 2022 than the 7th pick this year, even if its rolling the dice on Minny somehow figuring some things out and getting more competitive.

So i'd prefer they stay in the bottom 2 to guarantee its either the 4,5,6 or 2021 unprotected.

And thats not to say there aren't players i'd like this year in the 7-10 range.... but they just don't strike me as WOW picks like Cade, Mobley, Green, Suggs, Kuminga, or Johnson would be.

Wolves going full stop for getting the #1 overall twice in a row.

Now it's up to the lottery gods.

Some mock drafts have Mobley dropping to #4. I wonder what the offense would look like with two seven footers in the front court.

Looks like we got off the DLo train just in time.

Bad.. I liked the way the Wolves played under Rubio. Being a facilitator more means more opportunities for the scrubs to shine... which is a good motivator for defense and ball-sharing

Yeah, this development is bad for us. We should have sold high on that pick! Maybe it'll still be a high pick but there's a chance it'll drop and be a lot less valuable (not to mention a decent chance we won't even get our own pick). Offer Sacto the MIN pick -- and our own if it's not enough -- (including the contingencies) for Haliburton and be done with it. Try to exchange Oubre's salary slot for a solid vet or two to shore up the bench. Next year roll with Wiseman, Draymond, Wiggins, Klay, Steph and blend Haliburton in off the bench (and sub for Wiseman for small-ball) and we're good.

I know y'all are in love with the thought of picking #4 in next year's draft but the odds aren't great and probably just got worse. It wouldn't take much for Minnesota to jump up a bunch of slots in the standings.

Ya'll crazy. Minnesota is a bottom 5 team even if they go all out the rest of the year, which means at worst we get a top 9 pick but most likely a top 6 pick. The top 5 are in a tier by themselves and they would all help the team next year.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

Maybe. But they lost to the Lakers tonight by only 8 points and Anthony Edwards had 28 points on 50% shooting with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks. In his last 6 games, he's averaging 20 pts, 5.7 reb, 3.5 ast on 46% shooting. If he starts to figure it out, look out. These guys won't be good, probably, but they can definitely improve and move up the standings.

I don't really get all of the Antony Edwards hate honestly. Sure he's a bit of a mess, but he's a young rookie...what do people expect? He can obviously put the ball in the bucket and he's super athletic, so he should stick around the league for a while even if he never puts its all together.

Its sort of like the Wiseman thing. He wasn't Hakeem or Anthony Davis game one and people immediately go to OH NOEZZ IT'LL BE A 10 YEAR DEVELOPMENT TRADE NOW ANDRE DRUMMED! Rookies are rookies. Give them a little time.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

DLo goes down and you guys all immediately start worrying the Wolves will improve. Too funny. 100% justifiable. But, still funny as hell.

TWolves have always been terrible in their existence, outside of KG and one season of Butler, and those seasons they were barely playoffs mostly. They'll be awful next season even with another #1. The Warriors could cash in right now and trade that Minny pick with Oubre, whose been decent lately, very good player.
