The OFFICIAL Paul Brothers Boxing Thread

Post#1 » by Susan » Wed Feb 17, 2021 3:03 am

I'm not sure which Paul brother I'm a bigger fan of but I know they're taking the Combat Sports World by storm.

Mike Tyson is a fan of Jake. He's a real Jake Pauler (and probably has Jake Paul Merch).

Brendan Schaub (probably the best analyst in the game) is a Jake Paul HATER which has me deeply concerned.

How do u feel about this?

I am worried if Askren is taking the challenge seriously enough.

Askren stands no chance. Not even trolling, he's legit the worst person to represent MMA in this. Following this loss, the FUNK ZONE will be closed up forever and will actually be named the Jake Paul Fanclub forever proving Ohio>Wisconsin

I can't even believe that Askren is taking a boxing match. He might have the worst striking in MMA since UFC 1-9.
That said, Paul doesn't have a fraction of the cardio that Askren (should) have. He had his mouth hanging open a round into a nate Robinson fight. Askren will pace the fight, wrap him up with his ridiculous grips and try to zap his energy.

Im guessing Askren will jab him to death and win, or his stand up is so horrible Paul KOs him in the second or third.

I can't believe Im going to watch this circus, but at least it's an actual pro fighter and not a basketball player.

I give Jake Paul a ton of credit. This is exactly who he needed to call out so he can show he fought an actual fighter and still win. Askren easily has the worst standup compared to any legit vet MMA fighter.

This has potential to be terrible. Not Kimbo/Dada, but...

That's the part that makes it slightly interesting. It's an actual fighter, not Vanilla Ice or something.
If Jake Paul wins, I think he'll actually fight Nate Diaz next lol...and Sadly it will probably be the second highest payday Nate ever had, as he completely destroys a YMCA boxer.

You can practically see the frustration in Ben's face with just how dumb Jake Paul is. Man, I wish Ben had better hands and I felt confident he could win this fight.

Paul is a complete idiot, but he has been training boxing for over 3 years now and Ben has some of the worst hands out of any famous MMA fighter. Even with that said, I think Ben wins, just not overly confident about it.

I live a pretty happy life. I don't hate anyone, just not a lot of toxic feelings in general tbh.

I kinda hope Jake Paul dies though after watching some of these clips.

I think Paul didn't know what he was getting into on the talking front.

I just hope Askren isn't physically limited. I think he can win this on exhaustion, which could be hilarious.

Askren already had a dearth of athleticism and was a putrid striker...he's now 36 and coming off a hip surgery lmao.

Paul seems like legitimately one of the most annoying people I’ve ever laid eyes on.

I watched that press conference and Jake is excellent at being insufferable. As a Jake Pauler myself, I'm glad to see how deep he's gotten under all of your skin and I'll see you there.

Askren is going to do enough to stay afloat and not get KTFO. He's smart enough to keep this simple and dance - no point in engaging in a striking match when you have nothing to gain by winning. Just have enough defensive boxing to collect that check and go buy more frolf discs at home.
