Brett has been holding back our players, Embiid and Harris are playing significantly better compared to last season, Simmons not following them until now is just because he is weak mentally, he needs more time to recover from Brett, but it seems he is starting to heal, the difference between first games and last games is astronomical.
Simmons is younger (24) and cops a ton of heat for his flaws on shooting/scoring and he handles himself mightily. How is a 16/8/8 DPOY wing as your base to go off, other fans would be jumping for joy.
I get that he has top ten player potential and in some way should have been there by now. But we’re very blessed to have both (some teams don’t have one).
22/10/8/2 was his last 15 game stretch before injury.
Started this year not 100% healthy. He had his oh sh**t moment so it’ll be very intriguing going forward. The structure atm isn’t ideal for them
both (because the two very specific players (pg/sg)
Would amplify them (not in jumps in production but their games would help offset. Like Booker for example. Soon as Chris Paul comes into a team well what do you know everything becomes better lol.)
