Not just him, but all rookies this year in the sim are generally doing better than they should. It's really going to impact a lot of things next year if the ratings come crashing back to reality for all these rookies. However for a team like the Spurs at the moment, it's definitely a enjoyable journey to watch as it's a nice reminder that the sim isn't exactly real life and a nice reminder that this is just a game at the end of the day.

In all seriousness though

Wiseman is probably the only one playing above his grade right now and its not like his SIM starts are ridiculous in terms of 86 FGI and 57 FGJ...I don't see those drastically shifting too far down considering his per 36 averages are pretty much right in line with his SIM stats this year.

Sim stats in 30 mins per game - 22pts 11 rebounds 2.5 blocks

Real life per 36 mins per game - 21 pts 10.5 rebounds 2.2 blocks

They aren't that far off. I'm just playing him more minutes then the real GSW are.

Haliburton probably running second in rookie of the year right now so I assume his numbers will only go up.

Vassell/Okoro/Green don't have really good SIM stats but they all defend at a high level so that should continue.

And considering MPJ and RJ Barrett will be getting SIM boosts too I think I will be in a good position.

Factor in Boucher likely boost. I hope to be better next year.

Haha I'm literally just talking Wiseman and you know it. A lot of rookies came in with overinflated stats I think where as in past years the rookies took a year or two to catch up. You just caught lightning in a bottle and was able to accelerate the rebuilding process this year and now your franchise is set to go for years to go now.

Definitely noticed this. Rookies this year have definitely gotten a bump considering the sim came out before the actual NBA started. The past few years, when the sim comes out in mid-late November the creators have a month or more of actual games to base rookies on. This year, without that, it seems like they gave all of the rookies a bump that is definitely a bonus for teams that have rookies. I would assume that next years rookie class will go back to what it was the past three seasons while next years sophomores are based on how they play out IRL. So teams that picked the right rookies will be fine moving forward. Teams that have rookies playing over their heads in the sim now will probably be in for a bit of a rude awakening next year.

You're in a good position but likely don't have the superstar power you were granted.

Thats where hopefully my draft capital (picks and trades) and $600 in cap space come in.

The value of potentially making the playoffs over half your cap space as dead cap space. Nearly $550 in dead cap space that will be released next year. While still being in a great position to make the playoffs.

Yes, Wiseman being a starter in the all-star was unexpected  . But there are other teams with 4 or 5 star guys that aren't playoff teams right now. So while the surprise all-star game starter in Wiseman was important still important to build a full roster. I kinda built my team around guys that aren't inefficient shooters...so my shots are going to the guys I want the shots to go to.

Also factoring I have one of the best defenses in the SIM and teams shoot the lowest 3 point % vs me I think that helps me as well.

Some of the individual stats got a little wonky like the RJ Hampton 100 jumper or the Ramsey 100 Jumper...or the Poku 100 steal. I assume that will get cleared up.

But I do think they put more stock into college numbers. Wiseman played such a small sample size in college but dominated in the 3 games...probably what got him the boost. Which is why someone like Nesmith got huge ratings.

The guys with defensive reputations got some love too which was nice to see.

I still assume some of the top college guys will get some love in the SIM next year as well. Or the top shooters which there are some.
