TT has a higher career TS%. Mo Bamba is a 32 pct 3pt shooter. You don't want him taking threes.

Of course i don’t want to. I want our bigs to post up and bang inside, but the problem is our coach, wants bigs thar can shoot lol. I want our team to get a legit big that can contribute right now. Bamba is just an option to defend big guys down low, if we can’t trade for one. TT doesn’t even shoot 3’s. He has like 2 attempts his whole career lol.

There is one big on the team who can shoot and he takes like 1.3 a game on average for his career.

I like the idea of Bamba if he were a cheap player and you could just play him the Tacko minutes or whatever, but he can't even get on the court for the Magic, who kind of suck.

If the Celts are aiming for another deep playoff run then Bamba is not the answer.

I agree he is a project though. TT is so bad, any legit big would be an upgrade lol.

How about swapping TT for Drummond?

Would Drummond be an upgrade over TT?

Yes of course!!!
People here are worried because he would command a huge payday after this season, but personally, i don’t mind the rental. He would be perfect here.

No! Lol
Even if TT takes 20 shots, he’ll miss most of them lol. He is a big big upgrade.

Plus he would make the lakers or nets even better if rhey get him.

Andre Drummond misses more shots on average than Tristan Thompson. You are mistaken greatly. The celtics would have the worst offense in basketball if they had Andre Drummond because the coach wouldn't prevent him from jacking up brick after brick after brick. You should watch Andre Drummond some time.

Here's the thing, if Drummond can be acquired at a low price, I think Ainge will bite.

Celts use the TPE then send trade fillers to the Cavs or another team and add a 2nd round pick, that should do it.

But first the Celts must use the TPE on Otto Porter then flip Porter to the Cavs for Drummond.

It's a very cheap solution that's low risk.

Celts don't even have to include TT in the trade.

TT can be traded for another player.

It's one way of improving the team without having to give up a lot.

Anyone is an upgrade over TT. I have watched enough of Drummond to say he is an upgrade. He may be lazy at times, but given the proper team, he could be very effective. I’m just not sure stevens is the right coach for him, or this team. I have other bigs i prefer over him though.

You guys are absolutely insane if you want Andre Drummond on this team, even if he is bought out and signs here for the vet minimum.

I guess we'll just disagree on this one. Andre Drummond is a massive, massive loser who negatively impacts his team's chance of winning more so than any other player in the NBA. It's stunning that someone could watch him and think, "wow he would improve our team."

Dudes just looking at his stat line instead of watching him play. Lol. He still wouldn’t surpass Theis.

Hey at least the GB is too busy ripping on the Heat today to notice the C's are just as awful.

Drummond is a really gifted athlete especially at his size and probably has more "talent" than Theis and TT combined, but he's too much of a stubborn low bbiq player who hasn't shown much improvement in his game since he was 22,
being 27 he should be in his prime right about now but no team wants to trade for him lol.
Definitely not using TPE on him, but if he gets bought out I'd take him and dump TT

Bamba/Rob center rotation would do even right now, but Bamba's potential kind of intrigues me. He's got legit size, but needs time to fill out that frame and learn the game more.
Gobert wasn't that good either in his 3rd season, but he atleast played 30mpg, and by 4th season lead the league in blocks
If he figures it out he would be a great modern stretch 5 with defense, but who knows if he's even that interested in playing basketball lol. Or maybe he just needs a change of scenery, Orlando sucks. I'd take him if cheap for sure

For me, a trade for Bamba lets me include Timelord in another deal.
