I don't want to make it sound like I told you so but if Dunn wasn't so prone to injury the Bulls would have resigned him

Do we even have a team doctor who evaluates players before we sign or trade for them? If we do, please fire that man.

If your mean Capela he might be ready for the Pistons on Monday.

Capela (Achilles) is probable for Monday's game against the Pistons, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Capela didn't have a timetable for his return as of Saturday, but he's apparently made progress in his recovery and will likely be available against Detroit. The center should be a key contributor for Atlanta once he returns after averaging 13.9 points and 13.8 rebounds over 32.8 minutes per game last year.

Ok you meant Dunn, is there a Gallo thread for this too? It’s early everyone’s got lil boo boo’s.

:D

Getting all healed up for the second half of the season! Seems he had a knee injury when Hawks signed him.
We found that his ankle injury was probably the cause. With this surgery, when he recovers, he should be fine.
With the Atlanta team being much improved defensively, adding this great defender will be great.

I think Pierce basically starts him with Trae once he's up to speed. Dunn is not a bad finisher and midrange scorer and obviously his size and defense is where the value is to the team.

:banghead:

Did we get sucker punched again? Speedy left us with this bitter taste in the mouth.
This Hawk talks like he's healing well and is hoping to play after the all star game.
Is he? Will we ever see him as a Hawk? Don't blame us if we are gun shy. We've been
had before.

Kris Dunn, get well soon! We need what we thought we were getting. So many injuries
making things go wrong this season.

Story behind the injury per Schlenk:
“He’s progressing well,” Schlenk said. “When we signed him last year, we knew, coming off of the knee injury, once we got here and started rehabbing the knee, what they found was the reason for what caused the knee injury, (which) was the calcium in the ankle. And so, he had a decision. We met with (him) and his agent, and we could continue to go down the path of just rehabbing the knee and getting back out there, but the root of the problem was going to be calcium and there were just like little pebbles that were in his tendon, crazy little thing. … He made the decision, and we fully supported him to get that fixed knowing that it would put us in a situation where he would miss the first half of the season and we’d get him back later on this month. So we’re always going to support the players when it comes to doing the right thing for them, medically.”

Good to know.
I hope he has a full recovery and plays this season but next season is fine too.

He misses the Bulls. Prob just doesn't want to play for the hawks. And for year 2 he has a player option. I wouldn't be so sure he's back again.
