That said, I still don't care about these characters, and you could argue superhero **** works better when it's purely bang-bang escapism.

I like the ambition, and I like the execution, I'm just not really invested in the context, I guess.

I now find this to be pretty challenging with both the Marvel and Star Wars universes in general. I've liked Wanda Vision so far, but it suffers so much from meta-fatigue. I thought how they treated the "snap" was cool (especially the hospital scene), but so much of Wanda and Vision's back story requires them to flash back to the 2nd Avengers film, which was like, 10 Marvel movies ago, and 6 actual years ago. Once I got past the "Oh I remember that, neat!" nostalgia moment, I found myself wondering "Why is the show asking me to care about this?"

It doesn't help that none of the acting performances (outside of Randall Park who I always find hilarious) are inspiring and it just seems like everyone showed up for the paycheck.

Unpopular opinion? Each time I revisit the series, Stringer becomes a bigger cornball to me.

Landsman quotes are woefully underreported.

Bomani's been on this for a while. I get it, but I still think he's my favorite character.

Huh. Looks like me and Bo were on the same train.

This in no way diminishes how great a character he is.

I Care A Lot on Netflix may be the worst movie experience of my lifetime. Like I'm legit angry. Whoever directed it decided to turn a main character who targets elderly people, puts them into care homes against their will when they don't really need it, and steals their property and turns her into a plucky heroine. Like expects the audience to root for her. That is reason enough for it to suck but on top of it there are a million plot holes.

EDIT: and if you want a laugh, go to IMDb and check the 10/10 reviews - 100% the product of the studio paying off Eastern European review farms and providing them with a few scripts. Just an absolute dumpster fire of a movie.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

I want to say the Sobotka's deserve more respect than 4th-best-Wire-season status, but that's more of a testament to the other seasons. Also, I think I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow:

Being the 4th (or 5th) best The Wire season is like being the 4th or 5th best Celtics championship team.

2nd season of the Wire is good. It's nothing to give a **** about, though.

Just watched it, that was really good

Bomani takes it too far but the character works for the show. Stringer has no redeeming qualities tho, He is the snakiest of snakes.

Second season of the wire was sneakily the best.

That Mortal Kombat trailer is not selling. Hopefully if it’s bad, it’s so bad it’s good.

Idris Alba describing his experience in landing the Stringer Bell role on Hot Ones is a must-watch for those who have not seen it.

Saw Saint Maud last night. It has some positives, but overall it's so slow for such a short runtime. It has some questionable creative decisions, and it goes into the extremely misleading trailer category. It's a stretch to call it a horror movie, while the trailer makes it look like hereditary with a religious spin. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. I give a lot of credit for A24 coming out with some creative movies, but it seems like most of them miss the mark while having some good ideas or scenes in them.
