Will we extend Bridges or will Sarver not pay 4 players big money for 1 or 2 years?

Dunno man. Griffin in limited minutes could be awesome. Imagine getting Griffin instead of Jones. Our front court is weak. Griffin could actually take us to the next level.

Couple of things to think about

1. Very possibly bad vibes between CP3 and Blake

2. We would want him to play very few minutes, will he be cool with that? Doubt it

3. Chemistry is good right now and improving. Do we want to add him into the mix? Could he be a big enough ego or even just personality to mess things up?

4. Do we need him?

Fair points. As for the 4th, I believe we do. Our front court depth is not good enough.

Griffin sucks.

Funnily enough the Brooklyn loss makes me think the roster is good enough and our best chance is just to develop elite chemistry. It was more defensive consistancy and clutch time which comes with organic improvement than just more talent.

(Also coaching and adjustments are a factor)

He shoots 36% from the field. Even if there were no bad vibes, and we didn't worry about chemistry and we really needed a PF to play a lot of minutes, I wouldn't want him. He is beyond washed up.

No one is going to want to play him a lot of minutes, unless they are a team with some very bad decision making.

2021 Season Speculation - 1/3 of season & key injuries to our bench & main 8 man rotation

Post#686 » by Jdiddy701 » Thu Feb 18, 2021 7:20 pm

Random question: if Devin Booker led the league in scoring and was the worst team in the West, would he be on the all-star team?

Crazy how Beal will be a STARTER! All the narratives about Devin Booker not making the all-star team due to the team’s record have been thrown out the window lately. Another thing to add to the list of how Phoenix is always on the sh** list to everything.

Also, the East is bad. The league really has to get rid of the conferences.

I think Beal deserves to be an All Star and he deserved it last season too.

The All Star is a game/party with the best basketball players, not a game with representatives of the teams with more wins.

So IDK if Booker would be an All Star with our team losing a ton of games, but I hope so.

Yeah I agree. Beal is a deserving all-star. Who knows if Booker would've made an all-star leading the league in scoring while being on the worst team but that kind of hypothetical is just an exercise in building this narrative that league HATES the Suns and everything we do. I never bought into that and don't know why some Suns fans do.

Do agree that the conferences should get scrapped.

He's better than that. I really think he's been dogging it but I still wouldn't want him. Too many potential negatives to be worth the trouble

Really hoping everyone can get it sooner than later. At least down under you guys have done a relatively good job at not letting things get out of control in the first place. I only got it now cause I didn't trust one of my roommates to not bring it home with him, otherwise I would have waited until more people could get it before getting it myself. Luckily, that roommate is out now though. I wish I could afford to live on my own, but San Diego is insane for renting (and buying, but that's never happening for me here).

We've been lucky. Being an island certainly helps too with border control.

The more I think about it the only potential trade candidate I like for a midseason acquisition is Lonzo Ball.

Ball's taken the leap for sure, I just think PF is how we become a contender though.

The Wolves have the worst record in the NBA. Injuries played a part in that, but imagine they finish last and fall in the lottery to 4 or 5?
Warriors would get that pick and Minny would have absolutely nothing to show for this season.
What a waste.

Hopefully they get a top 3 pick. I'd look to move Russel if possible. Maybe Horford would fit well next to Towns? Or go get Westbrook for Russel? Edwards, so far, appears to be busting.
Such a mess over there.
I'm guessing they will give this one more season, and if things don't change next year, the whole thing will be blown up.
Move Towns for a ransom.
Rubio expires then so they can have cap space to take on bad deals and build assets. Maybe try building with Edwards and Culver and whatever pick they get this or next year.

And what's worse is, had Russell chose to play with the Wolves to start with (which seemed to be happening until the Nets and Warriors struck that deal), they would have had their pick and Wiggins still.
Maybe that's worse but if they're gonna suck, at least have a pick

Yeah, I was just thinking about how the Warriors killed them on that trade. First of all, Wiggins is playing better than Russell (who is out injured, but didn't look so good anyway)...I know he has a worse contract, but a top 3 protected pick? There is a very good chance the Warriors get a pick like 4-7.

Edwards had a big game the other night (I posted highlights in the Around the NBA thread). I don't know if you blow up a team that is that young and you already are the worst likely to get top picks...go young again? Will you find another player better than Towns? Give up on Edwards? What is their avg age? 23 or 24? Towns is probably their oldest core player and he's the same age as Booker.

I don't think they had the money to sign him. They would have had to do a S&T...but I don't think they had anything Brooklyn wanted.

What do you guys think of Cousins? He is getting released by the Rockets. I would sign him and waive Jones.
I Dont wanna be here
