I've hardly watched the Bucks this year, but I caught some of tonight's 4th quarter against the Raptors, and Giannis's play was rather embarrassing down the stretch. It doesn't look great for the post-season but obviously a lot can change. What do people think needs to happen for the Bucks to become a strong contender (assuming you don't think they are)?

Healthy Nets are winning the title for me, even with no more additions to their roster. Clax can fill the back-up center spot later. Harden is the best playmaker in the NBA for me + can score anytime from anywhere. Kyrie is pretty much unguardable and has like 100 moves in his bag offensively. KD is KD. He has been phenomenal so far (showed best player in the world type level) and he hasn't even unleashed himself fully yet I feel. He will certainly be more aggressive in the playoffs and take more shots. Harris is the best 3pt sniper in the NBA currently. Brown and Roberson are awesome defensive players. They just need a better center currently but I still believe they could manage for a title run without such a center.

This team hasn't even reached full chemistry yet so they can only get better with more playtime together. They are a joy to watch. Most exciting NBA team for me. The level of basketball skill from their big 3 is just ridiculous.

The Harden All-star starter spot robbery was quite surprising to me. I like Beal but come on.

Why are you picking on Beal and not Irving?

I think the fact that Harden went from Western Conference to Eastern Conference halfway through, and his scoring numbers are significantly down played a role here.

It doesn't really matter, dude's gonna be an All-Star.

Good question. Kyrie is actually having his best season (his stats also indicate that well) and since in general, I think he is a better player than Beal, I can't really pretend to think that Beal is a better player compared to the best version of Kyrie. That said, I can see the case for Beal as well due to the crazy scoring average. Averaging 32+ PPG is great even on a bad team.

I mean, has Beal been better than Irving? He averages 33 ppg vs Irving's 28 ppg, on much worse shooting and overall efficiency, on a much worse team (hence the higher volume scoring that's required from him).

I think Irving is better than Beal, and Harden is better than both.

Irving decided to take a vacation during the middle of the season and then couldn't play for violating COVID protocol and Harden nuked a team for weeks before getting traded. I feel its completely fair to hold those things against them.

Beal deserves to start

Man Kyrie is having a ridiculous season, huge volume and efficiency. Still have questions about their defense, but Harden might be just the playmaker they needed to unlock everything.

Still see Lakers as a better team, but anything less than a Finals trip would be a disappointment for Brooklyn at this point

Definitely but I will go further more and say, I bet they would be quite disappointed if they don't win the title. I mean sure they can get back and win the next season but it's still a season of Prime KD/Harden/Kyrie and I'm sure for these guys, not winning the title would be pretty disappointing.

While I think Lakers are more well-rounded with healthy AD (as well as the Clippers being more well-rounded), I just believe healthy Nets' offense will be too much to handle. They might not be GSW 2.0 (a perfectly well-rounded team) but their offensive potential is just even more ridiculous and that I believe can put them over the top. Also I don't think their defense will be the worst thing ever in the playoffs. They will be below average or slightly below average defense eventually with the Roberson addition but not below average by a big margin and that should be enough to win with their all-time great offense imo.

If they bring a decent center, I would certainly be more confident in them winning but I will still pick them personally if their current team is healthy. KD/Harden/Kyrie/Harris are just too good of a team core.

Also, why are we sure Lakers will beat the Clippers? Clippers this season are actually better so I wouldn't be so sure. It's kind of a toss up for me. Hard to predict if they meet in the post-season.

You give Irving a handicap because Beal has a higher volume due to having a much worse team yet you point out Irving is "much more" efficient? To put things in perspective Joe Harris is better than anyone on the Wizards and he is the 4th best player on the Nets. In fact, no one on the Wizards except Bradly Beal could even reasonably start on the Nets.

Leading the league in scoring with 59 TS% shooting on a team that has no other scoring threat doesn't seem any worse than what Irving is doing. I'm not inclined to think that playing with a godly 3 point shooter and a couple of MVP's would make Beal play worse. The Nets weren't chop liver before Harden joined either.

You can now find officiating statistics by each referee when they have a certain team.

Man I love me some Jrue Holiday but I can't believe the Bucks decided to give up all that draft capital for Jrue when they could've gotten CP3 for considerably less.

How do you mention "Much worse team" and "effiency in the same sentence as you're saying his volume is inflated. Also, kyrie's literally playing on the most prolific offense ever, how exactly is his volume being suppressed on a team where two players are scoring like him?

B/c of his injury issues? You know theyre 2-5 without him now right with their first 5 game losing streak in a long long time

My comment wasn’t about the regular season. Paul is just higher level of player than Jrue and would bring the offensive resiliency that the offense has been missing in the playoffs. I’m much more skeptical of Jrues offense in the playoffs.

Looks like the Clips finally realized they messed up with the Kennard contract. 4 years 64 millions in one of the most bizarre contracts I can remember

He was available tonight in a marquee playoff atmosphere matchup and got 0 minutes. Terence Mann might have taken his spot in the rotation.........

If the clips actually used that money to get a playmaker like a Lowry or someone they mightve actually been a problem. With how it is its hard not to see them being bounced in the 1st or 2nd round

What is everyones allstar ballots anyway including starters and bench?

I actually think this is the toughest year in recent history than I can remember choosing the bench players... Mainly in the East i feel a bunch of guys can make it. In the West its a smaller crop but id still feel bad leaving a few guys off

Cant remember the last time i felt that way. Usually its like 1 snub that i wish couldve gotten in but not this many
