He's built like a tank, like a mini LeBron for a guard build.

Also, we were right about McDaniels.

Yeah McDaniels looks really good on defense. I remember whenever me and you hyped him up, people thought we were crazy (cough cough mpharris)

Yo, you called him a unicorn, that's what I was telling you to pump the breaks on. He is a 3/D guy

Lol I never called him a unicorn. You kept calling him the next Perry Jones and swore by everything that Poku was much better than him

I’m looking at the old threads. You kept hyping up Poku and kept comparing McDaniels to Knox and Perry Jones which are awful comparisons

I was not the leader of the Poku crowd. I thought he was always a boom/bust pick. There was people that wanted him at 8 and I was never hyping him to that level even though I did see potential in him and still do. Poku was always going to be a project I am not going to label anyone after 30 games.

I was using the knox and perry jones as his mentality. I will say I have been impressed with the way he plays defense. I think from seeing him he does have decent potential as a 3/D wing. Which is always valuable in the league.

You were a pretty big fan of his though. Lol

And I kept telling you Mcdaniels showed flashes on defense, that’s why I was like why are you comparing him to Knox. Knox never showed flashes in college. That mf was soft every single game in Kentucky

I was a fan of the unknown. And Poku was actually playing good defense for OKC. His shot is miserable though. Like beyond miserable right now.

McDaniels has been much more impressive on D then I thought so I will acknowledge that. I do think he's a bit aloof for my liking. But if you can defend at his size and make 3's he will be valuable for a long time. Much more valuable then Knox.

Well to be fair I hated the knox pick from the begining. So that isn't a high bar.

But these kids are so young. So much time left to develop tough to judge in small sample.size.

You might be onto something. Is that sustainable or an empty stats guy though?

I don’t really see him as an empty stats guy. The Bulls outside of him is just very bad. He’s doing a great job carrying them the best he can imo. I think Thibs can turn him into a winner.

Could really be the case. He can definitely shoot.

Lowe podcast on the MVP race with Hollinger

Hollinger had Gobert in his top 9 candidates. This lead a discussion about how crucial Gobert is on offense with his rim running threat and then the obvious defense built around his rim protection.

Lowe even raises the question could Mitchell Robinson do it on offense and would Utah still be clicking on offense

The obvious impact from this mold is out there and Mitch is way springier than Gobert. I can’t believe half the board is ready to send him packing

Mitch is Tyson Chandler 2.0. He can ball, he can play on a chip team and likely start. Rest of that trash you call team is bench players at best.
Randle is microwave scorer who needs help.

Lavine is 25 years old. He is not even in his prime. In worst case scenario he will decline in 5 years. The most realistic is 8 years. With current level of fitness, diets and body preparation there is not that slim of a chance to remain on this level for even 10 years.

This is not a trade for 'win or bust' like Harden. This is a trade for the future. Imagine a team with Lavine playing on this level, some of RJ, Quick and Mitch develop into a decent 16-20 PPG or defensive freak(Mitch). This team will start looking attractive again and we'll be in the conversation for the big dogs.

This is the way. Make it happen Leon.

It took Lavine balling at a nuclear level for ppl to consider him. Y’all love to buy high and sell low.

I am also super high on Lavine. Would love if we trade for him without giving up the hole farm. But I don't think that is possible and my #1 choice is still signing Trent in the offseason.

thats all.

Let's talk more about LaVine trades where there is zero chance the Bulls trade him.

yo I don't get it either..
but hey I am sure they give us their 28 pts a game scorer without wanting RJ, Mitch, Randle or IQ from us....

This is why entertaining a Lavine trade this season is premature. I’ll wait to next season, if he declines to sign an extension the bulls lose a lot of leverage.
