yo I don't get it either..
but hey I am sure they give us their 28 pts a game scorer without wanting RJ, Mitch, Randle or IQ from us....

This is why entertaining a Lavine trade this season is premature. I’ll wait to next season, if he declines to sign an extension the bulls lose a lot of leverage.

I think people talked themselves into the idea during the offseason, that the Bulls might do it for "salary relief", plus, obviously, some players, and now it just doesn't stop.

Do the Knicks need another good player, one that can create from the 3 point line all the way in, for himself and others? Oh my yes.
Is Lavine a realistic option as a player to get, this year? Oh, f*ck no.

Who the f*ck asked you?

And next Dimsh*ttie. Right. Hopefully not.

if Buzz was a mod we wouldn't be having this problem - now we might be having other problems - but not this problem.

I'd be banning fools from other boards with much quickness.

But yes, I'd say you are correct.

Also, no knock on bringing up LaVine trade scenarios. I think he's a good player, young, the kind to talk about. Except maybe a little less. Or less seriously. Since I doubt he's moving this season, but the offseason, IF a strong offer goes in and the Bulls want to free up cap space (not sure why, I don't think they have any issues), then MAYBE it happens.

Or, of course, near the deadline next season, where they feel they aren't going to be able to resign him.

my top guard free agent targets is we don't move any trades now:

1.Trent
2. N. Powell
3. Ball
4. THT
5. Oladipo

if we strike out and go the stop-gap-route again, then I would go after Fournier and Mills.

Apparently Ayton put the clamps on Zion last night in the 4th quarter and held him to just 2 points :o I’ve never heard of really anyone shutting down Zion so that’s impressive

Hollinger had Gobert in his top 9 candidates. This lead a discussion about how crucial Gobert is on offense with his rim running threat and then the obvious defense built around his rim protection.

Lowe even raises the question could Mitchell Robinson do it on offense and would Utah still be clicking on offense

The obvious impact from this mold is out there and Mitch is way springier than Gobert. I can’t believe half the board is ready to send him packing

Gobert is twice the defender Mitch is ever going to be. That's not even a knock on Mitch.

While Mitch is never going to be as dominant defensively as Gobert, I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two players right now. We should be talking about what Rudy did in his 3rd year in the NBA.

For starters, Rudy at age 23 put up 9.1 PPG 11 RPG 2.2 BPG and .7 SPG. He did this in 31 minutes and averaged 2.7 fouls. He also was skinnier than he is now (he’s clearly worked on developing his muscle mass).

Mitch at age 22 is putting up 8.4 PPG 8.4 RPG 1.5 BPG and 1.2 SPG. He’s doing this in 28 minutes and averaging 2.9 fouls.

Having said that, Rudy took a significant leap in year 4 averaging 14-13-2.6.

With these young centers, sometimes the game simply comes together for them after being in the league for a few years. Mitch also seems to have put on a lot of weight this year and I still believe he’s learning how to play with the added gain.

Rudy aside, look at what Capela did in year 4.

We just need to be patient, even though our fan base is notorious for not wanting to be.

And he’s 10x the screener Mitch is too. Mitch will never be as good as Gobert tho he’s still incredibly valuable in his own right.

Noel is better than Cousins. Less toxic too.

I agree but Cousins could potentially provide us with size against certain matchups that our tandem of skinny rim runners have struggled with at times. Not that there’s that many traditional bigs left out there

Make no mistake though I wouldn’t trade nerlens for him, or much else

The Jim Boylen era was the epitome of "chaos is a ladder" for other franchises.

When Chicago's front office backed Boylen and he openly had issues with Lavine was the time to strike for an organization like the Knicks. It was obvious Lavine's value couldn't get any lower, yet he had already shown that he was going to keep improving as a player. I said the Knicks should make a move for Lavine then, and I had been hoping the Knicks trade for Lavine since.

I hate arenas that play music on every possession. It's one thing I'm happy the Knicks keep it old-school.
