Re: Rookie of The Year Thread
Imagine your latest 6th overall pick barely seeing the floor, your sophomore #4 pick who ascended to your best two-way player suffering a significant injury, and your sophomore #10 pick regressing at a brisk pace. Such is the life of a Hawks fan.

It was a nickname given to him by Stacey. He looks, carries himself and plays similar to Kawhi, who's nickname is The Claw. And Kawhi was his favorite player growing up.
Damn I love Hip Hop!

Went off in the 4th, and hit the game ending shot.
I gotta give Bulls' management some props...everyone thought they were taking Williams almost too high when he was projected more 7+ in the draft, so far he's looking like he could prove to be a top 5 talent from this past year.
As aside not sure why but something about Markannen's fit does almost feel like the odd man out and like you guys could use a more defensive oriented PF but maybe I'm missing something there..
As a Lithuanian, I hope Karnisovas succeeds. When they took PAW, I wasnt sure who he was, but he really looks like he has ton of potential.

I don't know where else to post this, and I know it might end up looking massively dumb, but Mamadi Diakite looks like he might end up being an impact guy in the NBA. Yes, he was undrafted. No, he hasn't played an actual NBA minute.

How close it is at the moment between LaMelo and Haliburton? Their stats are pretty similar, Haliburton is more efficient though, and probably better based on the advanced stats, LaMelo however has more of the famous "IT" factor. LaMelo would probably get it, if it would be given today, right?

Re: Rookie of The Year Thread
The hidden gem on the roster is Jaden McDaniels, the no. 28 pick in last year’s draft. He already looks like a massive steal. McDaniels is an athletic, 6-foot-9 wing who can defend all four perimeter positions, protect the rim (block rate of 4.6 percent), and space the floor (38 percent from 3 on 2.8 attempts per game). He has the highest block rate of any non-center in the NBA. His ability to fly around the court to erase shots is frightening:
One of the biggest knocks on Saunders is that he hasn’t played McDaniels enough. The Wolves have a net rating of plus-3.8 in 483 minutes with him and minus-11.1 in 1,015 minutes without him, an eye-popping differential for a 20-year-old who played in a zone at Washington. McDaniels isn’t just the team’s power forward of the future. He’s one of its best players right now.

He almost makes me forget about how badly Buddy Hield has regressed the last two years.

this. reddish was just always bad he was overhyped. Okongwu has talent but Hawks took an injury risk and drafted over Hali which at the time was still no brainer given the potential.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Two straight strong games for Amp Lee's kid. He's impressed when given minutes.
Two days ago against Orlando: 12 points 4 assists 5 rebounds.
Today against Orlando: 21 points 4 assists 3 rebounds

At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.

Saban Lee looks more promising to me than Killian Hayes, too bad he will be moved down again once Hayes is back.
