management rarely blocks promotions. if he was goign to another team's assistant spot, thats less likely.

rosas and finch have connection from when both worked for rockets.
plus glen taylor proably had say in this and they interviewd finch before hiring saunders last time.

And one in the finals and won. Oh and he also did it last year when he lost kawhi and still won.

I never even thought about the race thing (didn’t know he was black) but thought he was thought of as one of the next assistants to land a HC job and that he left Portland to Minny for this very real possibility that this day would happen. Oh well tough luck. I’m sure Finch would keep him on board.

I mean, I don't want to put words into Lillard's mouth but I'm assuming this is what it's about. Players never used to get outraged at which assistant coaches were hired and which weren't. Not saying black coaches shouldn't be hired, it's just isn't as cut and dry as Finch was hired cause he's white. He coached as an assistant for several organizations that were SUCCESSFUL as Lillard put it and for a longer period too. Just sayin

I believe Vanterpool was involved with Canadian national team for a short time. Lillard is going to stick up for his former coach but there is more finesse required than on the court. Doesn't realize he's hurting his cause more than helping.

so your implying finch had a problem with the raptors, orchestrated saunders getting fired and getting him self the job. that is some jedi level manipulation there.
