I threw his name out a week or so and got no response, lol. So, I’ll at least save you from that fate. But, he’d be a good get at the right cost. Not sure if MEM would let him go for that, though.
My bad, I couldn't find anything from the search bar. The Grizzlies have needed him due to the JJJ injury, but I do think it's a tad more realistic than say Gordon.

No worries, I'm impressed you actually searched - I sure don't. :)
I think I just said SloMo, so that may be why you didn't find it, but I was just glad someone else brought him up!

He reduced 10-23 foot shots from 31% of his shots his sophomore year to 21% last year, but it's moving back up to 26% this year. Those shots (A) are bad from an efficiency standpoint and (B) freeze up the offense
3. We gotta find a real big wing to fill minutes at the 4 and when the Jays are on the bench. We know the trade suspects here, it's on Ainge to fill the need, even if in some stopgap way with a guy like Thad Young.

agree with above but my belief is Kemba can best suit everyone and the team as a scorer off the bench. Until that happens, this will remain my #1 Fix. Number 2 is RW and Theis play all minutes outside of foul trouble or injury.

as far as slow Mo goes, I'd rather roll with semi.

One thing I'd like to see happen is to get some stability with the roster. The churn has been extreme for years. The Jays have nobody they've consistently played with except Smart and each other, and they've been evolving so quickly that even the "each other" part hasn't been particularly consistent.

So I'd like to keep all or almost all the good players we have -- Tatum, Brown, Smart, Kemba, Theis, Pritchard, Timelord -- while adjusting their roles as needed, and spend picks (or in some cases player development effort) to upgrade the others.

If Collins can agree to a decent extension, then lets use Kanter TPE and picks to get him. Trade Thompson to Wizards for Lopez and get on with the season.

I would fix this team by having our sucky players stop sucking so much

Way off.

Actually, it's our NON-SUCKY players who need to stop sucking.

There's no chance in hell we make it to the finals this year. We have needed a center for nearly a decade. Ainge should have gotten young players to build with the Jay's not old ass grandpa kemba with the bum knees and Mr potato head that was fine doing nothing in Cleveland.

Too late. He gone messEd up d-anny.
Now it's time to sit in our filth like dirty little pigs until we can kick this loser out the door, then pray we can land a FA. Only other option for a decent return and lottery pick is trading smart.

The biggest problem I see with this team is a lack of mental toughness outside of Brown and Smart. You can see it through how inconsistently the team performs and also that we don't have anyone on the team who can put everything on their shoulders and close games for us. Nobody is clutch. Brown seems like he's developing into that guy though. Tatum definitely isn't there yet and I have no confidence in Kemba during crunch time.

I think we are really missing Hayward's playmaking ability. It would be great if we could get a veteran player who could help run the offense and get everyone involved. Teague was supposed to help with that but he's obviously unplayable at this point.

Recently I listed 4 immediate Fixes Boston can do.

1 play Nesmith more - has and he has played well.

2 STOP playing Teague - only plays when Kemba sits on b2b so close but not quite.

3 Start RW or at the very least play RW > 25 min. (I don't buy he can't handle it BS) hasn't missed more than 2 games due to injury (not Covid) this season, I believe.

4 last but not least, Kemba goes to 6th man.

*** of course if a good addition by trade becomes available then YES!

Use toe on two players. They need a wing shooter and playmaker

Edit: Actually Theis is on his second contract, so my numbers in posts like these have been off by one.

In a recent game we played 10 guys, 7 of whom are still getting paid on their first NBA contract and an 8th who had been until last season. If everybody were healthy, we'd still only be playing 3 "grizzled" vets (Kemba, Thompson, Smart) rather than 2.

As for centers, Timelord is IMO one of the better young centers in the league. Theis is at least as good right now, albeit with less upside, and still ascending into his prime.

Just not playing Grant, Semi(?) Carson, Green, exc would be a small fix. I get they need to play them early in the season to develop/keep value but the first half is done. Other than that I don't see any easy fixes.

How to fix things and see this team cruise the rest of the way.

1. Use TPE and bring in a solid wing that can score/shoot and at least be able to play solid defense as well.

2. Get Smart back.

3. Pray that Kemba finds his game and plays more consistently.

4. Play Jaylen/Jayson together more which is only possible if they bring in a wing that can contribute and play with Kemba/Smart when the Js are taking a break

Welcome to the NBA where every team in the league needs additional wings, shooting, and playmakers. If you're looking for wing shooters and playmakers at this time of the season you typically end up with the Wayne Ellington, Mike Muscala and Ish Smith type acquisitions that don't move the needle at all.

Maybe a real difference maker such as Beal is dealt but he is going to be very, very expensive. In the meantime the best approach might be to try and develop Nesmith.

At this point the team is at the mercy of Kemba's consistency. It's really unfortunate, Kemba was supposed to be that veteran's presence who can show the younger players the mental maturity and effort needed to stay consistent and grind out the season. But he can't even figure that out for himself, much less be an example to others. He doesn't act like someone who has been in the league for 10 years.

Try to add a complimentary (not star) piece that's signed long term, which is apparently what they're attempting to do at the deadline.
