Would you trade SGA for Cade?

Guess I wouldn't even if Cade's ceiling is probably higher.

At least SGA is balling. His ceiling is higher than I thought. He will need help though.

I genuinely enjoy watching him play. Obviously he’s nowhere near his level, but shai makes me enjoy the game like curry does.

Yeah SGA has always been a very skilled player. Gonna be on another level if he keeps getting better attacking the paint and improving his 3's...

Not unless he’s unhappy here.

Before the season I would have, but he's improved so much I'm not sure I would at this point.

Pretty sure this was only the second game this season that we were favored in, and man the Cavs need Nance and Love back ASAP. I'll take some wins like this throughout the year that highlight the kind of leap that SGA is taking, assuming we find a way to lose the return leg against them later on.

6 games left before the break, all against playoff-ish teams, all in a pretty short time frame.

Pretty much my thinking. You can't really trade him anymore except if you think your window to improve the team with him is too short and you can get Cade and another top 5 pick from this draft.

We are probably getting a worse pick because of SGA...if he reaches his ceiling that's ok, if not we are screwed :)

As far as getting a worse pick, there are a few things to keep in mind.
1- the top five worst teams are unlikely to have the top five picks. Someone will get lucky/unlucky. It’s going to happen.
2- it’s unlikely that this draft produces five all stars and nothing more. It’s likely someone in the top five doesn’t reach their ceiling and someone outside the top five out performs their draft position, like Shai has done.
3- teams continue to draft for fit rather than BPA. We saw it with Lamelo and Halliburton falling. It wouldn’t shock me to see some team Pass on Mobley and take a guy like Bouknight if they already have a big.

We just won’t know until draft night and maybe not even until we see our pick on the court. For those reasons, I’ll stick with a known commodity. There are players outside the top five that have the tools to be a star but they are not developed yet.

I agree with everything you said. But you still want to have the higher odds to pick the guy that has the more potential to become a star/superstar. Kuminga or Suggs may end up being busts but the odds of them being really good players are so much higher than any player in the top 6-10 of the draft. In the end you just want the best odds to build a team that can compete for a championship.

I can see Mobley going down in the draft depending on which teams get the first picks. For example Cleveland may pass on him since they want to build around Allen (same with Wolves if they keep their pick, and maybe Detroit as well).

Spurs haven't played in a while because of COVID issues, we're their first game back of course and have another game against them before the break. Worried about this one now, hopefully LMA has a vintage game

Hard to believe they have enough players.

Guess they'll have 10 if no one else sits. Doesn't look quite as bad when you list it out, still a number of guys who have played well this year.

Murray
Mills
White
Poetl
Walker IV
Aldridge
Lyles
Eubanks
Samanic
Bates-Diop

SGA just having fun. He embraced his leadership role...I was a bit scared about this after the the first 5-10 games.

Really think SGA deserved to be an all star over CP3 but it was tough anyway...Booker & Conley out as well. Hope SGA will get some extra motivation from this and make it next year.

No clue when we play the postponed games!?

Hate finishing against top teams...most likely they won't try to win.

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
