I think the biggest surprise is that you haven’t seen any Wolves players say well wishes or good bye messages to Ryan Saunders publicly.

No wonder why... 5 years, 4 teams

"Did not see eye to eye" I really dont know what this mean tbh. Dlo had all the flexibility to do whatever he wanted to do in the end of the games he played, the absurd hight usage for such an average point guard is there. Same for the FGA.

Too much power for two players that didnt showed anything to have this kind of power in the direction of the franchise.

Just a reminder that Devin Booker last season demanded the Suns to sign Dlo but they went for Rubio. Unless youre a proven superstar no franshise should accept this demands to get a friend or to fire a coach.

I that regard, I totally sympathise with Saunders. Imagine being forced to play a guy (that thinks he is a superstar), knowing that the player is actually bad for your team schemes, simply because they make 30 million a year and are friends with KAT.

I feel you Saunders.

He should go to a college team and develop himself as a coach and try to get an nba job again in a couple years when he is ready to do so.

Yes, he might not have been ready for a head coaching job but he is a nice guy. He does not deserve been thrown under the bus now as a scapegoat to hide plenty of management and player failures.

We are just going to play you off bench and otherwise have Edwards and Culver initiating on ball with you on the court but in the end of game moments, when behind by ten or fifteen, we'll give you carte blanche to try and save them. Then when you fail to shoot warmly and save us from deficits also because the young kids don't know what is going on or what you are trying to do, our fans will scape goat you. Do you hear yourself? Oh yeah, that plan we had last spring, we are just going to ditch that because we had a couple great ideas the month before our two week camp (you know, those unorganized gym hours they called a camp).

Are you kidding me right?
Dlo had a usage of 33.3 in the 4th quarters with a Net rating of -19.7 whith 5.4 FGA

While Edwards had a usage of 22.4 in the 4th quarters with a net rating of 0.2 with 3.3FGA

You narrative is funny thought. Especially the part that you say Dlo only took over when we were down by ten or fifteen.
I mean, we were behind ten or fifteen in a lot of games in the 4th quarters but that doesnt matter because being behind 15 or 10 or ahead by 5 or 10 the ball was still in Dlo hands.

Another area I'll be curious to see if there are changes in is player development. Under Saunders the approach seemed to be to give guys the freedom to attempt things beyond their current abilities in the hopes they would figure things out. I'm hopeful that Finch will implement an approach similar to how the Raptors do things in that young guys focus on a few skills they are good at and stick to that in games. Additional skills get added over time as players demonstrate improvement.

Looks like the assistants are staying put, at least for the rest of the year. Similar thing happened when MDA took over for Mike Brown on the Lakers midseason

Fascinated by Rosas admitting he essentially made the decision on Saturday but they were too far along in game prep on Sunday so they let Saunders coach.

Gerson Rosas says "reality" 10 times a conference, leading the league amongst all front office personnel.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I think it was the recent CanisHoopus article that pointed out the fact that KAT is only averaging about 68 touches a game compared to guys like Jokic and Embiid who are averaging over 100

I don’t think Finch smiled once during the press conference. Didn’t say anything revolutionary. Maybe it’s because he’s older, had so many different experiences, or was a past HC at different levels, but he just gives me more confidence than Saunders. Like we have someone that knows what he’s doing in charge. We’ll see what happens.

The only time I truly excited about a coaching hire was Thibs and we know how that turned out.

I thought this too from his question.
