He definitely can get emotional at times. Maybe it's just a TV thing versus print, but it's becoming more obvious for him.

Maybe it’s because he’s older, had so many different experiences, or was a past HC at different levels, but he just gives me more confidence than Saunders. Like we have someone that knows what he’s doing in charge. We’ll see what happens.

The only time I truly excited about a coaching hire was Thibs and we know how that turned out.

Isn't a "win the press conference with rah-rah" guy, but definitely speaks with confidence. Ryan in pressers gave off a nervous/unsure vibe at times, and it makes a person wonder if that's how it was with the team too. If coach doesn't sound confident, how can a player be confident in the game plan? That leads to guys doing things their own way.

With Finch, I don't think there will be any question he knows what he wants to do. We can debate if it's the right thing or not, but sometimes having a clear plan is better than having a right plan.

He’s already better than Ryan

He is dead nuts on ... and yes - Kat should be a triple-double threat every night. KAT/DLo duo ... AnT/Beas 3/4th options ... McD 5th ... gotta have that structure aka pecking order and let them figure it out From their on the floor

If you guys didn't wanted to get rid of Ryan this bad and blame him for everything that's going on in this dumpfire you would notice pretty easily that the way the Wolves handle this situation was just wrong on so many levels.

I tottaly get Doogie on this.

Don't worry, between you and Doogie there's enough crying to cover for the rest of the fanbase.

I hope Finch benches D'Lo's ass if he starts playing selfishly again. Then Rosas will have to decide between his prized player (who just plainly sucks) or his coach on who to get rid off.

I’m excited about the Finch hiring. He’s not a rah rah guy but has a cool calm confident demeanor.

Him and Rosas get the end of this season and next season to evaluate.

Based on that tweet, we may see a system similar to the Nuggets and their use of Jokic?

I don't mean to sound petty, but it was difficult to watch a Saunders post game conference. Between the "ahh" and "you know," he didn't sound confident in what he was saying.

The most annoying part of this hiring is NBA players losing their minds because David Vanterpool was not hired and now they make it as a race issue. Wtf? Nothing to do with race at all. DV hasnt done **** either. I like him as an assistance but he cant be a HC as well. All of them are part of the reason we suck.

These players talk too much and obviously they dont know ****. Diversity? This front office is diverse ffs!

It’s hilarious. Especially coming from players who have white coaches. Worry about your own team, clowns

... you try to select the best qualified/available ... you’re always gonna see other cards played. It was a mistake last time to opt for an assistant as interim, why not go after a candidate you are familiar with? Well done this time around.

Ryan did take the team through some times and deserves some credit, but at the same time, it became clearer he just wasn’t ready as an NBA head coach as many felt from day 1 - he would have been far better served going through the developmental league As a coach and/or working his way up to a lead assistant role. Is what it is, but this process was not as cruel as many make it out to be ... I’ve been a staunch Saunders supporter for years and years, and a change was needed.

I already covered this. Your issue would be moot if we replaced him with DV instead of Finch. Your point about him flying to NY is silly. He got paid to be there and will be paid the rest of his contract for doing nothing. If anything he was given a chance to coach against Thibs and stick it to the man he replaced, but he couldn’t even accomplish that. Rosas said the decision to fire Ryan got approved Sunday by Taylor. Which means Ryan was already in NY and we weren’t going to wait 3 games just to do it in MN. Ryan isn’t to blame for every single thing that went wrong, he is however to blame for failing completely at his job. He never should have accepted the HC position in the first place. He should have gone to Glen and admitted he wasn’t ready and asked to be made an assistant to Finch in 2019. Instead Ryan stuck to his privileged position and put himself in the position he was in. I get that you like the guy, but he deserves nothing but the worst possible outcomes moving forward.

I can tell you about a post I had last year, asking where all the post work for Towns went. Because the season before he made a run for allstar late in the season almost entirely based on stats racked up in the post where nobody was stopping him much unless they had two big bigs. That post was quickly shot down by a few that said how dead post play was in modern NBA.

Imagine my surprise seeing Reid with more post work of late. Still wondering for Kat. Not that I think it's his only way to touch the ball more. He should be shooting many more threes as well than we've seen lately. Last year he had plenty of threes and increasing passing that was also a great use of him. Just obviously running more through him however it goes. But when they do I sure hope they keep more outlets around him for when he does get bottled up. They always seemed to run a distraction type of system for him where they would shift the other 4 to the other side of the court and then he's left stranded at times.
