GT #29: Bullets @ Clippers 10 PM (NBCSW/1500 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Tue Feb 23, 2021 6:56 am

YOUR Washington Bullets are 11-17 and winners of FIVE straight... :o

Again, a 5 game winning streak has been unseen in DC since the 2017-18 season, a full 3 years.

The Bullets are coming off a come from behind victory against the defending NBA champion LA Lakers. LAL were without their Superstar PF and their starting PG. Nevertheless, the Bullets clawed back from a 17 point deficit to win the game in overtime.

The Clippers meanwhile are coming off a heartbreaking L to the Nets. Kawhi Leonard was called for an offensive foul on James Harden when driving to the hoop to potentially tie the game late. Paul George didn't play the final couple minutes as it seems he is on a minutes restriction.

Last time the Bullets beat the Clippers in LA? 2008!

I'd bet THAT streak continues!

George still played 33 minutes, so he's probably off the minutes restriction now, and the Clippers will be highly motivated and rested. If I were a sports betting man, I'd say everything favors the Clippers.

Good test to see if Westbrook will show the same kind of energy on the back end of a back-to-back.

Probably a blowout win for the Clippers, but maybe FAH1223's mojo can keep the Wiz laying waste to the Western Conference.

B2B game after an overtime battle, against a good, healthy team who is mad about a recent loss. Not a very promising setup.

The Wizards need someone other than Beal or Russ to catch fire in order to win this game, coming off a B2B. Bertans is the player most capable of getting hot, but Wagner has been a bit of a slump from distance, and is due to have a good shooting game.

Need a big game from Bertans and maybe even Mathews. We have plenty of depth to be competitive in a back to back scenario. We don’t even use guys like Bonga&Brown.
Mathews&Wagner barely played.

I expect a good competitive game.

I remember Brooks saying earlier in the year games like these are why our depth is so beneficial. Will be interesting to see the rotation he uses, especially if Russ sits.

Yep, if Westbrook rests(don’t think he should), we would probably start Neto and have Brown Jr play backup PG again.

You have a good list of well rested players that can give you heavy minutes tonight: Avdija, Bonga, Brown Jr, Mathews, Wagner.

Rui and or Deni might have a career night. Same for Mathews.

Bertans will be open a lot early.

I won’t be shocked if the Wizards win again. I’m definitely gonna watch every second of this one.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Ok, I'd like to bet Clippers by 30. :hoop:

Ehhh, best starting 5 in the NBA. 2 legit superstars, batum&Beverly are elite. Zubac, Williams, Morris off the bench. This will be a tough one.

If they win this, I’m 100% convinced that they have things figured out.

Wait a second. Did someone sneak Marc Gasol in as a backup center for the Clips, too?

I've been telling my friends I expect losses all during this winning streak.
I expect a loss tonight.

Might want to trap Paul George. He’s torching Beal

Try and keep this game in single digits in the first half and they could steal it in the second half. No answer for George. Might be time for Deni to start second half.

Or get down 25 and we can all go to bed at the half.
