I'm curious, which deals should he have taken?

Well the latest gaff was certainly nickle and diming the Pacers for another pick to sweeten the Hayward for Miles/Mcdermott pot and ending up with a trade exception he won't use because reasons above. I'd be slightly terrified of the Celtics with a decent center. As is, not so much.

Nah, that's not what I'm talking about. Before that.

Well, overall, from having the most "assets" in the league three years ago. He has let Kyrie walk for nothing, Rozier walk for nothing, Horford walk for nothing, Hayward walk for nothing plus a trade exemption I expect to just expire, instead of trading for a piece to complement his two good wings, drafted a bunch of scrubs that have all either been waived or will rot on the bench until they leave.

We''ll never know why he didn't get any value out of all those players but I would suspect its because he wanted to rip off other teams for players he had no control over.

Outside of all those non moves, he had a chance to outbid Toronto for Kawhi. Admittedly that was probably a one year rental but they were in a better place than Toronto and would easily have been the east favorites. I mean, the goal is to win a chip but Danny keeps kicking the can down the road. This trade exemption promising future value is just the latest kick.

So if you feel that this current roster is a desirable end game, than yah, he was wise not to make any moves the last 5 years. Otherwise not so much.

I'm happy to beat up on the Celtics, and they've done a lot wrong, but I feel like Ainge gets dunked on a lot for not making that one superstar deal everyone thought they'd make. But early on those deals would have been, what? Brown and Tatum for Paul George? Later, Brown or Tatum and three firsts? The asking price for superstars is high and the guys they've refused to deal (Brown and Tatum) are pretty good, want to be there, and are young and under contract for a while. It's not like they've rejected Robert Williams and two firsts for Kawhi or something.

Tatum is ridiculous

Despite his numbers not being in my draft prospect goldilocks zone, he was doing stuff like this quite a bit at Vandy. He almost one upped that Edwards dunk.

Kendrick Nunn is good. Heat should unload Dragic or Herro or find a way to have Dragic, Herro and Nunn playing 1-2-3 positions in crunch time. Where as they can have Herro or Nunn playing 6th man. Nunn can play that role THJ plays for the Mavs

I think Lowry is done. He’s nothing but a 4 month rental. Raps isnt letting him play to not hurt his trade value.

I dont expect Morey to trade for Lowry.

I expect Raps to use Morey as leverage to get more for lowry

Morey is too smart to give up assets for Lowry

A media guy who covers the Sixers asked an agent about DMC.

The reply was simply.. “Boston”

If there is a handshake 2 yr resign I’ll be happy with Lowry provided the trade is in the ballpark. That’s 1/2 of backcourt solved. Brings championship experience. Knows how to run a team, has complete guard skills. Look what CP3 has done to the Suns. Any good PG (Lowry is a great one) with Embiid/Simmons will do wonders with them both.
