Bol Bol - What is his value???
Kind of a vague topic, but he has been one of the hardest players to evaluate for me. I feel like after seeing him play in the bubble last season, he'd be getting more minutes this year but he doesn't play for Denver at all.
Can anyone clear up why this is? Is he actually not worth any minutes right now?
I feel like his skill set for his size should be appealing, I would love for the Bulls to trade for him but I have zero clue what his value is.

I don’t see why Denver would move him unless it was in a much larger package for a difference maker.
I’d say his value at most is a non lottery pick. Something in the 20-30 range.

Wouldn't trade a first round pick for him, not sure Denver would take a fair offer for him, because a fair offer isn't very valuable

Re: Bol Bol - What is his value???
He was drafted in the mid 40s 2 years ago and has played a total of 164 NBA minutes, with a well below replacement level BPM. In terms of trade value I'd guess next to nil.

Re: Bol Bol - What is his value???
his value is ultra low. He looked good during the bubble when Denver was struggling with all their injuries and he got playing time.
The problem this year is Denver's mostly just using 3 bigs: Jokic, Millsap, & Green at the PF & C spots.
Hartenstein & Nnaji have leapfrogged him in the rotation for minutes.
Given Bol Bol has fallen to 6th in the rotation for big & has seen 11 DNPs in the prior 15 games, It looks like Denver has given up on Bol Bol. I highly doubt anyone is going to give any value for him at this time.
When Bol Bol does get playing time, he looks completely disinterested and lazy.

Yeah if Denver wanted to sell high on his bubble performance they missed their window.
2nd rounder from a bad team at most, probably just cash or a TPE

He’s a very high risk, moderate to high payoff prospect.
Like a lot of prospects, value depends on the buyers appetite for risk.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Exactly where I'm at. He's worth a pick below 40 so might as well keep him or ideally use him as a sweetener in a deal upgrading their rotation

Is Bol Bol a sweetener or a roster spot holder?
Denver should see if there is another team willing to develop him and give him away

Re: Bol Bol - What is his value???
Yeah, I would love him on the Cavs too. I was disappointed when they bought the extra (2) picks(s), and spent them on more guards while he was still up there. And as you say, hard to gauge trade value if he seldom plays. Maybe Nuggets are just trying to bring him along slowly, I guess. While also surpressing his value around the league by playing him sparingly...

Re: Bol Bol - What is his value???
His /36 stats in the bubble were 17/8/2/2. Very small sample size but Denver really should have sold then if they knew he would never play based on their depth.

Feels the best fir him would be ending up as 2nd center behibd allen in cavs. Wouldnt mind having him in mavs, but would end up too far down to develope

Portland with it's injuries could use him. A second and cash.

Straight up Denver should choose any of the following from the Boston:
Ojeleye
Edwards
Langford
Waters
Teague
Line up during PICK UP TIME (Celtics lead at least 25 pts)
PG-Pritchard
SG-Neismith
SF-Javonte Green
PF-Bolbol
C- Fall

Portland acquiring an injury prone big man - what's the worst that could happen?

Re: Bol Bol - What is his value???
Here is the thing, if you were to look at all the rosters trying to find a good situation where Bol Bol could find some minutes, the Nuggets would be right at the top of the list. Youre competing with Isiah Hartenstein for the backup 5. Even with that Bol Bol cant find minutes.
So really a late 2nd round pick is probably what a team would be willing to give up. And if youre the Nuggets, might as well just hang onto him just incase he does turn into something.

Centers just don't net a lot in trades... I can't see Bol Bol going for more than a couple seconds.
