Jazz have released Shaq Harrison, and the Kings are releasing Glenn Robinson III.

I’m still surprised that after his productive season last year, Shaq’s agent couldn’t get him a guaranteed deal. Kind of same feeling about GR3. Weird.

Word when the Kings signed Robinson was that he chose the Kings so he could have more playing time. It was not working out that way for him, with the Kings playing a lot of three guard lineups. I am guessing Robinson made it known he would like to be released (but that is a total guess with no source)

Jazz should pick up Glenn Robinson III. He's a rotational 3D wing who is a couple inches taller/longer than Royce O'Neale.

I like Roberson and/or GRIII for the Jazz. It is clear Harrison is being released to make space for a signing or trades (we have two TPEs available, and two roster spots).

Clearing a spot for a Boogie reunion would be more fun.
And yes I'm kidding.

Re: Free Agency, Rumors, Thoughts in General 2.0
I hate bad mouthing people.
When the Sixers traded for burks and gr3 the very public rumor was gr3 was furious. He expected to keep scoring for an injury depleted gs and saw being a full on backup on Philly as bad business for the next contract.
The sac adventure was worth a gamble for the team ... but right now I see a player solely focused on himself in a way that as much as he would be better than t Ferguson or you name it, if I were a contender I would pass.
And I like him as a player and wish I wasn’t saying this.

According to Pompey, Lowry wants 2/60 next offseason.

Probably means Philly's interest has to be as a rental which hurts Toronto if they want to trade him because I had them as the easiest place to get decent value. Miami doesn't have much. Clippers can't really trade for him and who knows who else has interest.

This is why I have his value as a late 1st and other expiring contracts.

And the Jazz just released him, which means I'm sure they made calls to trade him and got no bites.
He just ended up being a luxury (tax) in Utah: we already have Conley, Mitchell, Clarkson and Ingles as ballhandlers...and a system where everyone touches the ball anyway. Harrison wasn't even getting into games: his value was reduced to being a spot defender and if Utah is going to use a roster spot for that, we'd probably prefer someone who can defend wings or forwards.
I'm sure someone who badly needs PG depth will pick him up; he's not great but he's worth a look and he's cheap.

Re: Free Agency, Rumors, Thoughts in General 2.0
Seriously: have the clippers the contracts to trade for matching Lowry's 30M?
Let alone the draft compensations.
Lowry's next contract should be around 2/30 at best, imho

I think Miami makes the likely landing spot for Lowry. They have the expirings for an easy contract match.
Philadelphia would need to include Harris to a third team to make it possible.

Philly can match the money readily without Harris. Now Lowry might be a rental, but they can absolutely trade for him without much issue.

I thought they dusted off the age old "Dan E. strAinge was thisclose to landing (insert star player)" stories in the offseason?

I think its pretty obvious Ainge is in on the bit and this was a bit of a wink to NBA twitter and to set the aggregators into a tizzy.

Ainge just needs to accept that Billy King, Colangelo, Valde etc are no longer in the league, so he will need to pay full price in trades.
