I love that the G-League path seems to working out nicely for the Ignite guys. Any change that hurts the NCAA even a little bit is a good change in my book. Really hope the G-League continues to grow.

Been enjoying watching the Ignite. Hopefully the NBA expands the program, and it puts a real dent into the NCAA. My question is what happens to the players like Dashien Nix who aren't expected to be drafted this upcoming year. Do they just stay in the G-League, or are they expected to go overseas?

Auburn point guard Sharife Cooper, the No. 9 ranked prospect on ESPN’s big board for the 2021 NBA draft, may have played his last game for the Tigers, writes Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com. Cooper is in a walking boot after suffering an ankle injury, and ESPN’s Jimmy Dykes said during Tuesday’s Auburn/Florida broadcast that he’d be surprised if Cooper returns this season. “We will see how the week progresses. We never rush guys back,” Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said. “He is working to try and get back, but we just don’t know.”

Not sure of the fit for us but Alperen Sengun seems like a stud. Reminds me of Sabonis.

Nice find - I like his FT rate and rebounding tenacity.

I was getting Luis Scola vibes even though Scola was far more technical.

Watching the tape of him dominating men at his young age and you can't help but be intrigued. Do I dare say the words Turk-Freak. Once he fills out he could become a generational talent. He would certainly be an upgrade to our front court depth, which we sorely need. But I fear he'll be gone by the time we pick seeing as how we'll be out of the lottery.

I like Kispert for where we are likely to be drafting. I know he's older and not supernatural athletically. But he's a Joe Harris clone and I've always liked Harris. They are both from Washington state. Harris is 6-6" 220. Kispert is listed as 6-7" 220. Very similar stats for shooting percentage, assists per game, rebounds per game. Kispert has a better free throw percentage and might be slightly better shooter. And you can't have enough shooters. I like Kispert's toughness and ability to finish through contact. And after 4 years under Mark Few he has basketball fundamentals down. He's be a plug and play addition. He fits our timeline centered around a max contract Lavine. We need someone to replace OPJ. The kid is just a good basketball player.

And we have to look at Dosunmu. Can he be a PG in the league? If he can he'd be formidable in tandem with Lavine. He's got talent and good size.

There are really no front court players that intrigue me in the First Round beyond Mobley and Sengun. I've watched Kai Jones being here in Texas. An OK player. Thin to be a #5. A project. Big men take too long to develop. Better to add cheap Vets that can actually play 20 minutes a game. In the Second Round I'd take a flyer with someone like Filip Petrusev or Kofi Cockburn from Illinois.

Now we’re looking at 17th pick? :-?

What’s the catch with Jared Butler? Great defense, strong all-around, excellent 3P%. Good last name.

To me Butler reminds me a little of George Hill maybe? A better version of Derek Fisher? Nothing flashy, but good d, good shooting, smart player, etc...

Here is my list of players (in no specific order) who should go in range of picks from #13 - #20.

SF F. Wagner - Michigan

PG / SG D. Mitchell - Baylor
PG J. Butler - Baylor
PG / SG A. Dosunmu - Illinios

C A. Sengun - International
PF / C K. Jones - Texas
PF G. Brown - Texas

I like Brown and Dosunmu in our current range, at this point in time.

I don’t think anyone we draft in the late teens is likely to make a huge impact as a rookie. This is projecting both internal development and the signing of a few free agents, which I expect will address our need for a veteran point and competent backup center.

As such, I think it makes sense to gamble on upside a little, particularly given our investment in player development. Keon Johnson and Greg Brown are literal and figurative fliers. I would also add Sharpe to the discussion. He is a force.

Was watching Michigan tonight. I would be thrilled if we nabbed Wagner. Dude is skilled on both ends and has super length. A couple of the passes he made tonight were Thadgic-esque.

I would package WCJ and our pick to move up to get either him or E Mobley.
