Lousy loss but WAS has been playing better ball lately. What is going on with Dozier, Harris, PM, Green, heck even Whittington all MIA with no sign. Maybe our medical staff is the one MIA.

Barton is not the problem - but he's supposed to be our best ISO player, or at least he acts like it. 0-5 from 3 and 1-2 from inside the line --- that's pathetic. His stats on the year are fine, but if he can't tell when his shot is off, it's a coach's responsibility. So he only played 22 minutes and that was too much.
Campazzo is not the problem - but any player under 6' in the NBA had better be able to score. No matter how hard he tries on defense, he will be a liability with a few splashy plays. His stats on the year are fine, but if he can't tell when his shot is off, it's a coach's responsibility. Playing him 32 minutes with his shooting last night is a travesty. He should have been pulled before Barton was pulled.
Porter & Murray & Jokic had a fairly nice game - in the box score.
Even Nnaji didn't look too bad in the box score, especially for a 15 minute game by a rookie.
It's too bad the box score isn't what counts.
The Nuggets are not a great defensive team but just looking at points, they are #18 and Washington scored about their average about the Nuggets' average opponent.
Sure, the Nuggets could use better defense - but Jokic's assist count shows the Nuggets have adjusted to Malone's offense of "Jokic-and-the-Spectators".
There's the problem in my opinion - our offense.

We are the 5th most efficient offense but have the 2nds slowest pace. I don't think the offense is actually the problem. The fact that we don't get stops doesn't help with our pace. We really need better wing defense and possibly to push the pace a bit more.
The one good thing about this year is I am doubtful that we will be having many fans in the stands come playoffs, so as long as we make it in and have a healthy team, we still have a good chance to make some damage. This team is far more build for the playoffs with Murray and Jokic dominating the ball so much.

The offense is very stagnant for some period of time and thats when Denver are losing games, playing catch up all the time . Lots of players are taking bad shot attempts or they lose the ball, Barton and Porter are horrible in their shot selections .

Pushing the pace has always worked in Denver's favor, especially at home. But Malone likes to call the plays and that slows down the pace. I totally agree that if the Nuggets make the playoffs, they can go far.
And I totally agree that our wing defense is a problem - IMO our biggest problem on defense. A great many points in the paint come when a wing player drives in without opposition leaving Jokic trying to stop the wing and his man - that means one usually scores.
I'm not an advanced statistics type but someone posted a chart last year that showed Nuggets' opponents scoring in the paint were most frequently not the center but a wing.

They can go too far to the first round exit , I don't know what gives you idea that this team can do anything right this season. They can't play quality defense and they don't have enough fire power to compensate being a weak defensive team. Unless they ditch Malone and the new coach energize this team or some trade for the star, this team could easily miss the play off .

Well, I thought you had a couple of reasonable posts - but you are back to the doom & gloom. According to you, the Nuggets have no one of any value from front office to coaches to players. The Nuggets, for all of their problems, are in the middle of the pack in the NBA. With the talent they do have, they can still potentially pull things together. Yes, you are not the only one discouraged, but constantly harping on one thing without any substance have consequences. If you were not previously identified as a Nuggets fan with some reasonable posts. Your trolling and baiting would have resulted in a ban from this board. Please don't push it any further.
This response is public because others need to understand you have been warned and it is my hope they will not respond in any personal attack.

I'd rather took day to cool off before coment. I am still very unhappy about the attitude players showed. There were no 50/50 balls. We would have to show ANY hustle to make them 50/50. All those balls was Wizards just because they weren't lazy to fight for them. Our players were just looking at themselves wondering who will run. And noone did.
As much as it was terrible watching some players shooting it was equal to watch both stars "playing defense." Sure, we know Jokič isn't and never ever will be a rim protector, but watching him simple watch players driving to the hoop and instead of ANY contesting he just was WALKING AWAY?!?
Have also no words for Facu's last shot. Either it was him not knowing the clock so he thought there is no time to pass or he tried to be a hero in game his shots weren't even close to hit the basket.
I know that is no way to threat professional athletes but after that they'd deserve next practise being a two hours of suicides...
