Best part of this win was that they kept their feet on the gas. There was no let down once the starters went out. That’s what I’m asking for. This team is beginning to gel and we’re doing this without KD... nice game from Claxton he was very active on both ends of the court. I hope he continues to get meaningful minutes even when Green/KD returns. I love Bruce Brown he’s the exact type of player this team needs. Just a high motor and constant energy. Shamet and Tyler Johnson had good games. On another note Mo Bamba is terrible lol. Time to trade Vuc.

Nope, there's nothing wrong with complimenting another man. If guys weren't so weird about it people would do it more.

Anyway I think Claxton is playing pretty well. 3 stls, one block. Give me some more rebounds

He is a good looking fella. Any chance we can get Oubre on the team?

He has played less then 1/2 season over his 2 years in the league.... both seasons have been during COVID. He is a late round pick. He dealt with some injuries. Given all of that it is really unfair to say you want more or him to be in shape. some of our guys who didnt deal with that are still working back to full strength.

I've been critical of him but this seems like asking for a lot given then circumstances

Another win.... my thoughts on the game:

-Pretty much went as i thought it would. a ton of empty points from vucevic in a blowout win. If DJ could catch early on we'd have been up 20 in the first. a laugher. Hell at one point in the 2nd quarter Harden looked bored. like it was getting too easy for him.

- 8 minutes left, up by 30, kyrie comes screaming in to tip up and offensive rebound and fight it away from vucevic. set up a teammate for a score. Thats a microcosm of where this team is. our stars are giving 110% in the 4th quarter of a blowout and making sure other guys eat

-Claxton played really hard. he makes all those energy plays. like trailing the other teams fast break and getting a rebound when they miss a face break shot. I was unfair on him, he is more then " A g-league scrub". he isnt another Reggie Perry. I still dont think he is a 5 though. I think he is a forward. he looks great defending on the perimeter and isnt a rim protector. Id like to see him with Durant and DJ all on the floor. Defensively that would be a potentially good lineup. He loves to dunk, which is always fun. that chin-up was well worth the technical foul. Hard to criticize anything he did. You can tell his teammates are excited for him. easy to root for. im not sure how much of a role he has when green is back, but hopefully he can find a role at SF/PF. he brings needed effort. Interested to see how he does protecting the rim against smalls vs. a team that has smalls that get to the rim. Our losses all came with smalls killing us getting layups with green/no shot blocker on the floor. If he proves me wrong there we are in business.

-Shamet continues to play well. You can see his confidence is back in his shot. no hesitation. He is a weapon when he is right. the big 3 + shamet/Harris has unreal potential if they can get a few stops.

3 more super winnable games coming up. No reason this isn't an 11 game streak headed into the break. Nash mentioned KD may play before then. i hope not. that seems really dumb to me. play him just tog o on a 7 game break again? give him the extra rest.

I am assuming that KD will draft his team. The next highest vote getter in the frontcourt would start.

Yes, I noticed that as well, I'm sure just an oversight.

I do think that Brown will drop to the 2nd unit once Kevin returns (assuming no one else loses time to injury). Cabarrot is the deep bench 11th guy, while Nic probably beats out Tyler for 9th man in the regular rotation.

Now, what happens if we trade for WCS? Or sign a bought-out OPJ? Nash's problems get even scarier.

Looking at his potential its hard to be patient man. Guy teased me last year to the point i was going vs you guys. I still do believe he has more potential higher than Allen ( not that I don't like my boy ) simply because he can provide offense organically. However kid can't stay healthy as of right now and needs to get into game shape.

I'm not. I just hope he'll be able to stay healthy. That's only thing that stopping him from being starter and legit rotation guy.
None of that trash you want to trade for has higher potential. You also trading away talent while bringing trash simply because YOU THINK THAT PLAYER IS GOOD.
I'm not against trading Din if there is better talent to be had. However I don't see none that is available. We have his bird rights and owner who's willing to spend, yet we have certain guys trying to trade away talent for trash they like.

Trading dinwiddie depends on the return. im not suggesting we trade him for Marquis Teague. You said we have no money and no assets. now you are moving goalposts.

McGee would make us better. he is a better player then Claxton. As a rim protecter he is light years better. Claxton wont take Jordans job. i admit calling him a d-league scrub was overboard but this stuff about him starting is just go awful homerism. the worst ive ever seen here.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
