Cousins is not an impact player. He's bounced around as a recovery project and he is still serviceable for a desperate team (hello Portland), but I see him as being in no-man's land. He doesn't excel at anything in particular, he hasn't shown he can make teams much better with any intangibles (which would really be his role on any team at this point), he isn't good enough to be an impact starter, and he is a questionable locker room presence.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see him out of the league next year.

If miami can add boogie, they can slide Bam at PF.

I’ll trade Achuiwa and Nunn for Collins

Atlanta would hang up the phone immediately.

Duncan + Precious might be enough, I'm not sure Hawks want to pay up to keep Collins next offseason.

This win make me happy. This win says to all the doubters that the Miami Heat is here. Let's keep it goin.

The Hawks would get better offers than that and I doubt they have much interest in helping Miami get better. I assume Atlanta would try to ship him out west. Plus they already have a similar player in Heurter and they have plenty of quality 2s/3s.

Miami is really going to struggle to pull off trades for guys because Miami doesn't have draft assets to include.

Exactly what i’ve been saying. Miami probably last on the list ATL wants to deal Collins too. Collins is restricted so other teams will throw out better offers knowing they can lock him up if they are willing to go max.

They better get a good offer for Collins unless they want to pay him more than the $90m offer that puts them above the tax.
As they say, it is always better to have something in return than nothing

Return to Miami Heat
