I didn’t watch that game but my (and I assume the league’s) issue with Smith has always been that it doesn’t seem like he gets how to play point guard. Anyone that has the ball in their hands for 30 minutes a night can rack up 6 assists, heck Smith averaged 15/5 as a rookie.

Might be something where if he sticks around the league long enough he eventually gets the hang of it. Tools are there. I’m not sure why he couldn’t have Trey Burke’s career at the very least.

I'd imagine it's a combination of jumpshot and attitude holding him back. Not too unlike Josh Jackson.

Smith got his college coach fired mid-season as a freshman lol. He's just a terrible person with bad intangibles.

RW and Beal pairing is looking good

Nerlens starting with the Knicks. He has all the chance in the world to show he’s got all time great defense. But...

They're finding some success by making it the Russell Westbrook show. They have a lot of shooters and he's finding them.

I kind of think Minnesota is going to blow it up this summer and just start from scratch building around Ant-Man.

They'll make a blockbuster trade of Towns. They'll offload Russell.

The Celtics are officially dead last in the Atlantic division. Yes that's right, the Knicks have a better record than the Celtics!

I doubt they move Towns he has 4 more years why on earth would they move him?

Russell maybe but honestly if you look at the roster it isn't bad they need more of a bench and some 3d guys.

They'd be foolish to tear that roster down when the main issue has been getting their guys on the floor all at the same time

The clippers sure do blow a fair amount of close games for a team you figure would be ideally suited to play in those kinds of games.

They're the worst team in the NBA every year and they're capstrapped with no financial flexibility.

They are the worst record wise but they have pieces. Edwards. Towns. Beasley and Russell is a good core. What they need is a PG who can distribute but isn't a washed and a non factor offensively.

And here is the thing the pick is top 3 protected which means they if they are going to be bad they might as well go all in so they have a 40 percent chance of keeping their pick if they do and draft someone like Cade Cunningham they could go worst to the playoffs quickly

Russell isn't very good. And he wants to be the PG not just a shooter. And no one on the team plays any defense.

In a huge sellers market like this year... it might behoove Minny to take a look at what they can get for KAT. Should be a massive haul. Then they can dump Russell and rebuild correctly.

Or... they could offer 3 1sts, 3 swaps, Edwards, and Rubio for Ben Simmons.

They have to blow it up. That team is expensive as hell and they're still trash and among the worst teams in the sport.

Keep their rookie contract pieces and sell everything else that they can. Build around Edwards and future 1st rounders.

They haven't even really been able to play together Russell is injured. Beasley suspended. Towns has been injured and dealing with stuff as we all know. They'd be making a massive mistake trading off a bunch of young assets based on a lost year at least that is my take I'm also kind of interested to see where they draft and if they keep their pick.

If they do and go out and sign the right guys to fillout the bench that's a playoff roster maybe even a deep one assuming Edwards takes another leap. I also disagree they have to do anything none of those guys are upcoming free agents Towns still has what 4 yrs left on his deal they can still get a massive haul three years from now if they move him so in the meantime why not keep him and try to find a way to win?

That's what happens when you play two whole seasons without a decent PG on the roster.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Could they get Lowry?
I don't see them having enough interesting assets for the Raptors. Think they have to add Zubac to tempt Toronto into selling Lowry and his expiring.

How do they fit his 30m? They'd have to move Morris and or Bevrely

That's what I mean, they have too much long term contracts, Toronto is not taking that.

Lou Will + Zubac + a bunch of small expiring contracts (Batum, Patterson, ...) could get them around 25 million.

He would make them the big favorites for a chip
