Iverson spent his prime in an era of suppressed stats and was still able to put up historically high numbers. Despite Hardens gaudy scoring avg's Iverson still has more scoring titles than him. He led his team to the finals as the number one option while Harden got there as a 6th man. And finally Harden is defined by repeatedly folding in the playoffs while Iverson's is defined by his playoff heroics.
AI was ridiciouslsly inefficient even compared to other wing players from the 2000s. The only reason for AI's high scoring averages (despite his inefficiency) is because he took more shots than any player in his era. AI is a glorified version of Jerry Stackhouse.
His 2001 playoff-run is super overrated. The Eastern Conference was all-time low. AI was outplayed by the likes of Shaq, Vince, Ray Allen & old Reggie Miller in every match-up. And 76ers won the ECF after Bucks got robbed by the refs.
There's a great video explaining how Allen Iverson is one of NBA's most overrated players of all-time.
