He didn't? Maybe the fit wasn't perfect, but he was the only reason we were in that Toronto series, offensively anyway.
And I think DeRozan is a much better offensive option than Jimmy. He's also a worse defensive option, but never mind that.
The difference between Butler and DeRozan is the FG% from everywhere other than three:
Butler 18-19: 2FG%: .491 (0-3ft: .718 3-10ft: .306 10-16ft: .400 16-3Pt: .320)
DeRozan now: 2FG%: .514 (0-3ft: .608 3-10f: .462 10-16ft: .452 16-3Pt: .553)
DeRozan is elite in the midrange which I believe will still keep things open for Embiid and Ben.
U know Derozan’s Career playoffs TS% is 51 right?
Butler is a stud offensive player came be very elite for short stretches of games as has been shown (career 120 ortg, 119 in the playoffs) always has been. Defense they are worlds apart. Are we really going to gloss over a player that can give you between 5-10+ assists a game added on?
Never mind the TS%, Elite lvl Free throw rate, 20/7/7/2 elite two way guy for us would solve it more.
Let’s not start with Derozan and 3point %’s he’s worse than Butler lol.
More than just scoring involved when it comes to offense.
If we are talking about the 2nd option here:
Jimmy >>>>> Derozan/Harris
