PS: this channel is a good source for Marko's highlights.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Faster, more athletic Joker, I'm picking up what you're laying down.

Prime Tim Ducan seems like a reasonable comparison.

Not only that, it's now my go-to source for Euro electronica synth rave music. That was a tour de force. I have it on repeat, and will foreseeable future.

LOL, yeah, I know what you mean. Not a great defender, but a good shooter and somewhat agile for his size. If he's even 75% of Lauri, that's a great find for a 2nd rounder.

having that song soundtrack a highlight video that was primarily uncontested rebounds was an incredible experience. i'm all in on simonvoic just because of that

I think it's without question that Marko Simonovic is going to lead the Bulls to a decade of championships, and I await his triumphant rise to the very pinnacle of the basketball pantheon.

You have to like his mobility and passing ability which is a function of BBIQ. And while most of his rebounds were basically uncontested he does have a nose for positioning to get them. Maybe just 10 more pounds of functional muscle mass and we should bring him over for next season. He'd give us more on both ends than Felicio or Kornet.

I'm hoping that AK's knowledge and connections with Euro basketball allow us to draft a pipeline of 2nd round players. If a few pan out, it could be a boon to our rebuild and sustained success.

You never know how he will translate, but he certainly has a very unique skillset that could cause trouble in the NBA.

How likely is he to come over next year? We have pretty big holes in our front court, there's probably minutes for him next year given he'll be 22 years old, he's not a complete baby.

I wonder if they'll bring him over next season. It would benefit him to play behind some of our vets. I'm still jaded that he'll be a end-of-bench guy, but better to use the roster spot on him than Lauri or Felicio.

He will replace Lauri and be our 4th big next season. He will be cheap and can learn from Vuc and Theis. If he could be a good defensive player or rim protector while making 3s he could be a big help.

Guys drafted in his position are generally end of bench to out of the league quality. Anything above that means we did an outstanding job. Guys from overseas in those positions seem even more likely to be out of the league quality because it is far more common for teams to reach for them if they don't have roster spots because the small chance of upside is better than they can do anyway.

For these reasons, I suspect it is highly likely that Simonovic never comes over and never does anything meaningful for the Bulls. If he even ends up as a decent 9th option one day it was a great pick based on the fact that we had no roster spots and basically needed to do a draft and stash so just took the most promising one we could find even if we felt it was a really low upside chance that he ever became anything.

New song for your playlists folks!

Date posted is March 23, so believe it’s new to this thread. Don’t see anything we haven’t seen before though.

Return to Chicago Bulls
