I’m telling you guys. Yoeli can play. He’s averaging 15.7 points 9.7 rebounds 1.4 assists 1.0 steals 0.6 blocks only 1.7 turnovers on 61% TS per 36 minutes played. He plays good defense too.

114 offensive rating
107 defensive rating

7.1 net rating

Everything about his game resembles Paul Millsap.

Childs was a good find, but I still would've preferred Diakite. He had a monster night with 25 and 15 with 5 blocks, 2 steals, 2 assists, 1 to, 10 of 16 shooting including a 3. Granted, he's a 24 year old rookie, but those UVA players play defense - which is just what the Wiz need in a PF/C like Diakite.

There's not much room for him in the regular rotation so long as Rui, Bertans and Avdija remain healthy, but I would like to see him replace Gil eventually. I suppose, for now, Childs is better off in the G-League where he gets minutes. But when the G-League is over, or if we ever concede the playoff race and start tanking, I'd like to see him come get minutes in an NBA setting. He's definitely worth a look.

Agreed. I would rather have him than Gill. When people are hurt he can jump in and pull down 8 rebounds in 10 minutes and never play again.

I haven’t seen Paul Millsap play in years, probably since he was on the Hawks. Does he switch out and guard smaller players? I’m curious about Childs and his defensive potential at the 4. He’s a smart fundamentally sound defender but no rim protector.
