Embiid has only 920 mins vs Jokic's 1100+ for Jokic, Giannis, Steph. So, my list would be
Jokic > Giannis > Steph > Embiid > Kawhi

Jokic has that much of a lead on Embiid in total minutes, and yet all three of the stats I cited are per-minute/per-possession stats. I think it's Jokic so far, with the proverbial "and it isn't close." There's still a lot of season left to play, though.

If the Nuggets don't start to win there is no way Jokic gets or deserves mvp

Jokic would be almost a lock if the Nuggets have a very good record, but unfortunately for him it is not the case right now

Each of his players on your list, their team had won 60 games or more outside of Jordan in 1988(50 wins and 3rd seed in the east).The Nuggets need to win more game no matter what

I think they will win more.

Also, the Sixers are on a 53 win pace; the Lakers are on a 56 win pace, second best in the league: everyone else is either worse, or on the Jazz.

Jokic is still in the elitest of the elitest historical company from a statistical standpoint.

I could put it this way:

Embiid = 43rd
Giannis = 98th

LeBron = I don't know, because he's not in the top 250 in PER or WS/48.

And, again, those are all per-minute/per-possession stats. Embiid is playing 33 mpg and has missed six games. Jokic is playing 36 mpg and hasn't missed a game yet. He's played 1,181 minutes to Embiid's 923. Jokic is 5th in the league in total minutes while being 1st in virtually every per-minute and per-possession metric. He's absolutely crushing Embiid statistically. I can't see giving it to Embiid just because his team wins seven more games. They should just hand him the trophy and say, "Congratulations, you had Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Dwight Howard on your team, instead of Jamal Murray, Michael Porter, Jr., Gary Harris, and Isaiah Hartenstein. Also, that was really amazing how your team played in the Eastern Conference instead of in the West. MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP!"

But anyways, there's still a lot of this whacky season left to play. To quote Leigh Ellis, "Anything could... still happen."

They likely lose to the Bucks tomorrow and fall to equal with 9th seed on losses. Although a win against Giannis would really stamp himself.

I agree. He's the best player so far this season but I don't think he'll get MVP. I think it's going to LeBron or Embiid no matter what. Jokic has a chance if they decide to not weigh team record that heavily like 2017 Westbrook.
