Jokic is locking this up.
He just needs to stay healthy.

Jokic will win the MVP if the Nuggets have a very good record in the second half of the season ..... If Denver are up and down again, it will be wide open....

Brooklyn will surpass Philly and so will Milwaukee by seasons end. Philly will need to make an trade that impacts the team to prove me wrong.

As far as Jokic and Denver goes, Porter needs to step his level of play up, so Jokic doesn't have so much pressure on. Not one player on Denver are taking any pressure off Jokic, yet he's dominating his opponents, and taking a beating. Jokic is sitting in the cold and hot tubes while his 3, 2, and 1's are relaxing playing video games with their headphones on.

Jokic is insane. But gotta keep the wins coming. Get a decent seed and there’s no debate at all.

What kind of dumb logic is this? Harden IS the super team right now.

Jokic is averaging 27/11/9/2/1 on 57/41/89% shooting. His 32.1 PER, 8.3 WS, .319 WS/48, 12.1 BPM and 4.5 VORP all comfortably lead the league. Sure if there was one team head and shoulders above everyone else with a clear MVP frontrunner candidate then we'd be having a tough discussion now but with the current state of the standings I have a hard time seeing anyone but Jokic as the MVP.

Last 14 games for Jokic

29/10/9/2/1 and only 2 turnovers a game in 36 minutes a game........67ts. 141 Ortg :o :o :o

7.6 turnover % on a 29 usg% in the last 14 is NUTS. You can even extend it close to 20 games and hes hovering around 2 turnovers a game. Thats just inconceivable. Its prime Dirk level turnover economy but Jokic is passing the ball like Bird

So let's take away half of lebrons MVPs and disqualify him this year?

Btw, how's my boy Vlatko Cancar doing? Saw he got 22 minutes against the Bucks lol. Anything promising to report on that front or was it just a fluke and i can expect him doing towel cheerleading most of the year including Playoffs?

Wow, who woulda thought that Jokic could sustain this level, while Embiid would fall off? You’d have to actually watch the games by both instead of watching only Embiid, and you’d have to actually be knowledgeable about basketball and you’d also have to try to control your biases. Who even does that? :o

Wait are you saying Embiid shooting a gazillion percent from midrange and 16+ ft wasn't sustainable? And his numbers would drop when he wasn't abusing midget ball teams playing wings at the 4/5 or 6'8 bigs? No way :o

Unfortunately, I doubt Cancar gets that many minutes too often. Right now, with Green & Millsap injured, Denver's rather short on forwards - but we have LOTS of guards. LOL

Do you consider what teams did/do w/o their MVP candidate? Unique situational comparison are the Suns w CP and without(last yr of course) .

Somewhere in the ‘not just pure stat’ discussion CP3 has to get some notice. Eye test says so. He’s taken them from Doormat to Persian Rug with rock solid play, and coaxing out the best in his mates. The dude is just doing what needs to be done to win.

Idk man I remember them going undefeated in the bubble with Rubio, so they were far from a doormat before Paul. It’s just a pretty balanced team with a strong bench, it’s not Paul about playing on an mvp level because he’s not playing on an mvp level.

?? Kyrie is averaging 27/5/6 on ~50/40/90 (same stats he had this season before Harden forced his way on their team). Harden has played 3 games without both KD and Kyrie and they got blown out in 2 of them. No, he is not the Superteam. They would not be scary in the least without Kyrie, and obviously when KD comes back the dynamic shifts massively.

Bubble doesn’t mean much IMO ... locked in teams were resting players, had little incentive.

But I get it, without lofty stats it appears CP3 has landed on and is just guiding a fairly complete team... but watching them day in and out.... the dude is putting on a basketball clinic. He may be more qualified for Coach of the Year 8-)

My vote goes to Jocic based on the subtraction method. W/o him, the nugglies are essentially nada
