Knicks fans seem like they really liked Powell
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The meme where the guy is looking at one girl in front of him and ignoring the girl behind and the girl in front of him is labeled "Myles Powell" and the girl behind him is captioned "Mamadee Diakeyte (sp?)" and text overlaying the guy reads "Outsized expectations of the commentariat, another in a continuing series of."

I was interested in Powell in the late second round, microwave bench scorer type of dude. I’m good with it.

Another sign that we have a somewhat myopic focus on shooting/shot-making. Strong argument that Powell was the best overall G League shooter who wasn't under contract with a NBA team, but not a strong argument that he was the best unsigned prospect. I'd have probably argued for Josh Reaves or Khyri Thomas (if he's finally healthy).

I don't see how he's any better than Forbes. Would rather get a defensive guard or wing

I have to grab Shutterstock pics every day in my job and boy, it was exciting the day I stumbled upon the entire collection with that couple. There's even one that's the reverse meme, with the girl eyeballing a dude and her boyfriend being all pissed.

Powell is basically what everyone thought Salim Stoudamire was going to be when the Bucks signed him.

That photographer uses the same models in pretty every stock photo he takes. You could literally do a short film based on their lives together using only stock photos from Shutterstock.

Is Powell someone that could possibly take over DJA minutes down the stretch or is that wishful thinking? I don't know much about him.

I see him as Myles Turner and Norman Powell morphed into one.

No. He plays hard and can hit some tough shots, but he's also a bit of a chucker. More of a combo guard than a seasoned PG.

Powell would have reign himself in, but it's not like Augustin has been some pure point guard orchestrator of the offense. Augustin's play hasn't provided a very high bar here. He's an option by sheer virtue of not being completely overmatched from a physicality standpoint. Would I say it's likely? No. Do I agree with your reasoning? Nope.

But is he the best shooter? He wasn't good in college. Is his 43% from 3 in 13 G-league games real?

This is bull. Two-way players getting minutes in the NBA is the exception not the rule all around the league. I get being excited about a prospect but the reality is that at best one of our two second round picks and two-ways will positively impact the franchise.
