Yea, I'm still pretty high on him. There are a few holes in his game that bother me a bit, but I feel like he'll end up being a top 10 pick based on his total package.

Don't sleep on Scotty Pippen Jr.

I think he might be the best underclassmen guard.

Better slasher, better shooter and better passer than Suggs, Christopher and Bouknight. He's even playing defense at an extremely high level, as well.

The ONLY knock on him is his size (listed at 6'1" 170).

What do we think of Auburn's Allen Flanigan?

Huge at 6'6" 215 with shotcreation abilities and jumpshot potential. Not much of a passer, but he's seems like a baller.

What about Justin Champagnie from Pitt? Without watching his games, his stats suggest he's a pretty damn good prospect.

Edit: just watched a bit of him, looks like an undersized PF assist converter.

Justin is better than Julian, just more athletic, both are young and super productive, I just worry about overall athletic thresholds for the league, but in the 2nd round they should get looks, not sure if they actually take the leap this year

They kinda remind me some of Wilson Chandler, prob not as athletic as he was before the injuries

He must be completely clueless on the defensive end. Even pure scorers like Terrence Ross and Buddy Hield showed competency on the defensive end.

He is like Eddie House basically, all shooting nothing else

Yeah, neither brother appears to have much talent outside of being help defenders that convert assists on the offensive end. Of the two, Julian probably projects best at the NBA level due to his size and establishing shooting trait.

They are both the same height, they just measure them differently in each college, around 6'7 220

he has no off hand and very little in terms of NBA tools, I don't think he is a NBA player straight up, most of the stuff that he does, outside of shooting doesn't translate really, maybe a 15th man due to his dad being who he is

he is productive but if you watch him in detail, it's very gimmicky

I think you're way off-base on that Pippen take.

- Sophomore-aged, 20+ ppg scorer
- 1.9 three makes per game at 81% free throw shooting this year
- ridiculous amount of unassisted buckets scored
- ELITE at drawing free throws. Draws freebies at a ridiculous career 60% free throw rate
- 38% assist percentage this year
- 3.1% steal percentage this year

Pippen is unguardabe off the dribble. Can slash to the bucket, can pullup in mid, draws a ton of fouls. He has three point range and is not afraid to sling it from deep. He's a tremendous passer. He's even a tremendous defender, for his size.

I'm having trouble seeing why you think he offers nothing as an NBA prospect. Guards that possess those traits usually translate. Especially when they have ALL of those traits as an underclassman.

I think Pippen is the most underrated player in this draft.

Cade on EPN2 at 7pm against #3 Baylor. Should be must-watch.

Unless Justin is in slides and Julian is wearing thick-soled basketball shoes, the listed discrepency in their height appears to be accurate. Look at the shoulder height for more clarity. Also, there is a noticeable difference in the weight they carry. Julian is every bit of that 220 pounds. Justin is much more leaner with less mass. He's listed at 200, I wouldn't be surprised if he was 205 at the heaviest.

There are plenty of other pics around where they look basically the same, and I know for a fact that they do measure heights differently (barefoot vs not) Justin is prob bigger in terms of mass

I think you have to watch Pippen to understand what I am talking about, tremendous passer and defender are just false statements really, he just does a lot of things that to me don't translate

Calling a guy with a 38%+ assist rate and a 3%+ steal right a tremendous passer and defender are false statements? How, it's literally backed by some indicating evidence. Maybe your opinions on those traits of his are false?

I'd rather trust the indicating metrics that have steered me in the right direction in the past than trust the eyes of someone who thought Coby White and Immanuel Quickley (both sieves) were good defenders. Pippen is a way better defensive prospect than both of those guys.

Can I get partial credit if Saben Lee becomes a legit guard in the league? He's been averaging 14, 4ast and 2reb the past 5 games with two 20 point performances.

Free throw rate translated for Lee, that's for damn sure.

yes they are, he is basically a small 2 out there, I think he is at best average for a PG as a passer and he is probably 5'11 bf

steal% is more of a marker for offense than defense anyway
White was a solid defensive prospect, he had his flaws but had pros as well, I think Quickley will also be fine and he has been fine as a rookie (?) Guard who plays a ton of 2 Guard lineups

If Wade Baldwin panned out, Vanderbilt would be a lowkey G factory.

Wade Baldwin is good (better than Lee and Pippen) he has actually been great in Europe, he is just a hard guy to deal with in the locker room apparently, anger mgmt issues etc
