I mean, I did already state 'Other than to cater to the whims of superstars they've signed' which addresses like all of Lebron's teammates...

Agreed on the blatantly obvious part. There's no doubt other FO's do it to some degree but I just can't remember it being so apparent. Apologies if I wasn't clear in my previous post. That was basically what I was getting at.

I see that, but my point is that we know about the star players pulling it off. I’m guessing that there’s a lot of teams working with the same or similar groups of agents consistently. In relation to lesser players that they just like.

With deividis, it’s obvious that part of it is the team thinks he’s worth taking a chance on as well as he’s represented by someone with a direct relationship to a member of the team.

If we are doing revisionist history, I would have never made a move to get him but that’s just me.

As far as him being here; he’s 20, we’re already tanking, we might as well see what we have considering we already made a move to get him, and he’s cheap.

As far as him not playing, I’m guessing that changes after the deadline.

This isn’t all related to your post, I just think it’s crazy that he’s somewhat polarizing on this board.

I don't think it's at all proven yet that part of the team thinks he's worth taking a chance on. It's true that he was signed to a 3 year deal but he hasn't been given any minutes on the floor; even in the preseason. Why do that to a player that you actually think has a future with your team? He hasn't really shown an NBA skillset on any level really...

I honestly don't think that people would have much problem with him if we didn't do the waive and stretch business to free up cap space for other players and to a lesser extent trade the future 2nds for him. Those are what make his signing look so bad. If we had the cap space already and didn't give anything extra to draft him then whatever.

I agree with everything else in your post.

I can see your point on that.

I completely agree that if the Dedmon and zhaire didn’t happen, some people would have a much different outlook on the previous offseason.

I’ve probably already said this, but I don’t understand why we didn’t just run with musa for the season and let sir stay overseas to get the playing time he probably needs in a lesser league than the nba right now.

And we gave him a 3 years guaranteed deal, something that never happens to 2nd rounders, even good ones.

Still hasn’t happened

Weird, I remember seeing and checking several times that his deal was 3 years guaranteed, good thing that was wrong, doesn't make me less pissed off with this bs tho, but at least next season he's an expiring.

Didn’t think that it would. Just read your post and thought it was wrong, followed by some google digging
