This is what I generally want, however, you simply have to find someone better than Pat. You're not gonna go too far if he's you're closing lineup. And I'm not a Pat hater, he's a fine bench guy, but this is above his head.

Yeah someone read your post to Pat C in the huddle and he told you to suck it lol. No we need to upgrade SG though

We do have picks. We can sign a minimum deal soon. No, a player can't restructure their deal mid season.

As of now Brook's contract is it, with whatever eligible picks we have. What can you get in return for that who's more useful. Then replace Brook with league min type big. I threw out a guy like Prince who matches Brook's contract as a type guy who could play this type of spot and be better than Pat. Not that Prince is awesome or anything though, just an example. But yea, overall they're playing from behind the 8 ball on this, not a lot of options

Bucks definitely have options. DJW and Craig are expiring deals. Lopez can still be useful to the right team like Mavs or Spurs. DJA can be combined with future picks + Merrill/Nwora as trade chip for a team looking one season ahead. Horst needs to get creative.

I’d take Blake over Tucker, he’s less cooked than him. I’m not giving up assets for a guy like Tucker, he’s not going to be the difference maker.

so KD doesn't start on team KD? If he's not playing, why is he captain?

looking at the stats, and Blake is pretty damn cooked. terrible shooting, poor rebounding, defense.

I wonder if LeBron demands a Giannis for AD trade

I was wondering how many times in the offseason I was posting to get Lavine.
I counted 8-9 times.
At this point the only way Bucks get out of the East is Giannis to reach GOAT MJ level and the Nets not to stay healthy.
So it looks like I have to make a choice to either be delusional or hopeless.
What would you choice ? Delusional or Hopeless ?

Interesting, but I don't think Kings do it because they love Haliburton, and there's no reason for them to go after a veteran like Middleton - it's not going to make them a contender for anything.

Trading Middleton seems like a chemistry killer

So how are we feeling about Connaughton these days?

Pat getting minutes down the stretch in small ball lineups vs Clippers and Grizzlies is certainly a sign that the team is encouraged about him.

Of course we might want to find an upgrade. But either way it's a good sign that he could be a solid rotation player.

It also might mean we aren't so inclined to use him as trade fodder for someone who might not move the needle.

Leaves 2 open roster spots and money to sign them. Ariza to start with if he is bought out.

Wright - DDV - Merrill
Holiday - Pat - Forbes - Powell
Middleton - Dozier - Nwora
Giannis - Ariza - Thanasis
Lopez - Portis - Diakite
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

He's had some good games but having to play him 30 minutes because DJA and Forbes suck is not good.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Right, Pat is doing his job just fine and the haters are overboard. Asking him to be a closer and often guard some really good players is probably asking too much of him, but he's doing all he can and is not one of our problems. The fact that we need him to do this much is a problem though. They need someone else so he can go one notch down on the totem pole so to speak. And yes, that's probably partly due to a guy like DJA not living up to what they needed. Which as you point out for trades, makes him a bit less expendable due to necessity, unless of course a similar bigger wing type guy is coming back too

Just curious to see if people on this board still value keeping DDV or now are you more open to trading him if you can upgrade your SG position.
Personally i may think hes way overated on this board and isnt a starting caliber SG but wouldnt mind keeping him as a bench guy if they could upgrade the SG spot.

Problem is, we need 3 quality guards, and right now we only have 2. If we trade DDV, we're still stuck with DJA and Forbes sinking us on a nightly basis.
