Heat Interested In John Wall, Kyle Lowry

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Mar 5, 2021 4:31 pm

The Miami Heat have become active in trade discussions, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN on his podcast.

Writing at TrueHoop, Tom Haberstroh reports "John Wall and Kyle Lowry are potential targets."

Haberstroh adds that the eight games between the end of the All-Star break and the trade deadline on March 25th will determine how good the Heat think they are entering the final stretch of the season and will shape their trade activity.

The Houston Rockets acquired Wall from the Washington Wizards before the start of the season and he is signed through 22-23.

Miami Heat regressed after losing out on Jae Crowder ( gave the Heat maximum versatility / flexibility in lineups ).

Credit to them for sticking by their young players and continuing their development -- Herro / Robinson / Nunn have bright futures -- and Bam is a superstar in the making. Heat overall will have a bright future.

Heat should be targeting a low-cost versatile forward ( on an expiring contract ) to make another Finals push and maximize cap space for 2021 free agency.

Trades :
* Thaddeus Young ( Bulls ) for Andre Iguodala + 2nd round pick

The Heat were never that good to begin with. They would have been done in the first round last year if it wasn't for Covid. Jimmy Butler and a bunch of role players aren't winning a championship.
