Certain teams are being mentioned who can definitely use Blake, but in an extremely limited bench role.

That includes the Lakers (once AD is back...without AD there is a lot of use for him), the Celtics (terrible fit in their defensive scheme for extended minutes), and the Nuggets (Jokic/Blake is a terrible fit).

Now, in the Bucks, Clippers, and the Sixers, I could actually see him playing a valuable role. Still a limited role, but not a 10-15 minute a game type limited role, but a 20-25 minute type limited role.

As a Laker fan though, I'm going to pass. Again, he would be really useful until AD comes back, and he actually fits decently with AD and can be very useful in the playoffs in a not-so-limited role in theory, but with Trez and Kuz (and Morris) there, there is really no use for him. Would have loved him here if we had hypothetically spent our MLE differently.

I would like to see him on the Bucks off the bench....Not next to Lopez, but in a super small ball lineup next to Giannis. I

Its being reported the nets are the front runners now. Got to love buyouts where it simply helps the best teams gets better.

I would rather have Semi Ojoleye than Griffin...

As a Nets fan, I don't want Blake, hes gonna take away minutes from Clax and Uncle Jeff (who is actually a good role player and plays defense). I hope we wait it out to see if Drummond gets bought out.

We can definitely use another guy in the front court, especially one who can shoot and play make like Griffin... and we currently have 3 guys on 10-day contracts.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by his fit on Brooklyn.

Seen a lot of ex-stars change into phenomenal role playerd for a shot at the title. Hes got the talent, but hes got to put in thr effort on both ends in limited minutes, which he’s yet to do.

As a nets fan you have clearly never lived through the Semi Ojoleye experience.

We have. But Blake seems to lack a lot of the skills that would help him with this transfer (defense, shooting) and more importantly, he looked physically toast when he played earlier this year. And that was after almost a full year resting his body.

He could surprise and make me out to be the fool, but I wouldn’t put my money on it.

They are great if you're a lakers or nets fans.

You should not be able to pick up players like Blake/Drummond on a min deal. Should be a waiver type structure where worst teams get dibs at buyout candidates

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is how it works -- problem is you have to slot the waived player into capspace or an exception and no team has $30 mil in space lying around right now (and if they did they wouldn't want to invest it in a year and a half of Blake).

I don't want either Blake or Drummond. We need a wing defender.

could be a solid insurance policy for the nets if disaster strikes. or if nothing else to keep him away from rivals. not sure he adds anything significant to a 7 game series against the top of the east or west. nets need defense.

I strongly believe Blake should go to the Nets, and that they should immediately send us Claxton for a couple of 2nds :)

Hard to tell if he really is just toast when it comes to his athleticism or if he has kind of just been playing at 50% because he has been up in Detroit and playing for that franchise.

This seems like it will either go 1 of 2 ways. He goes to the Nets and he looks 3-4 years younger and spry and ends up being a big help. Or he truly is just shot physically and is just a name that sits on the bench. He doesnt really have the skillset to be just a solid contributor. But if he can be 2019 Blake in 20-22 mpg game, that would be a huge get.

If Blake signs with the Nets, which "in-their-prime" lineup is better?

2020-2021 Nets: Kyrie, Harden, KD, Blake, DJ

2018-2019 Warriors: Steph, Klay, KD, Green, Cousins

It's crazy both Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond could reunite at Brooklyn.

You’re not getting one worth a damn on a buyout. Didn’t they just cut Roberson?

Easily the Nets. You have 2 MVP winners, you have Blake who was 3rd in MVP voting and you got Kyrie who is flirting with a 50/40/90 season right now while averaging 27ppg.
