I am high on Isaiah Jackson, but seems to be limited on the defensive end. I do not envision he has a high basketball IQ, and think Boucher may have a higher backetball IQ than him. But he and Boucher can be our rotation C, since both of them are very similar to terms of what they can contribute.

Meanwhile, I have Kai Jones ahead if he is still available at our range.

I too have read that Jackson, sometimes just looks lost out there.

Would like to look at Javonte Smart, who could be a late 2nd or undraft.
I don't think we have any 2-way contract left, but wish we can take a look at his ability to create for the team.

Not surprised, as his basketball IQ is lower than Boucher. However, his timing on blocks seem to be special.
Any big we draft, most likely a project.

If Kai Jones had that shot-blocking instinct, he'd be going in the top 10.

Chris Duarte is old but he seems like Doug Christie 2.0. He'd be a nice early 2nd round get.

The near-lottery guys I like are defensive players that could fit well into Toronto's switching schemes. I used to have my all-defense team as:

1. Usman Garuba, Real Madrid
2. Davion Mitchell, Baylor
3. Scottie Lewis, Florida

I still have Garuba at the top because he does stuff you cannot teach with his lateral quicks, and instincts on positioning for a fairly big guy at 6'8":

Spoiler:
;ab_channel=ProInsight

Bumping Mitchell out, I now have Myles "Deuce" McBride. I have been steadily watching West Virginia games and he is a stand-out POA defender. He also offers more scoring and playmaking than Mitchell, so I think having a two-way threat like McBride is first round worthy. Really reminds me of Deandre Bembry with a jumpshot and clutch genes. The guy is strong but can get to his spots on court.

Spoiler:
;ab_channel=LeagueHim

Bumping Scottie Lewis out is Kai Jones. There is just too much fluidity in his movement and good size to ignore. Reminds me a lot of Jalen Smith from last year who was drafted in the lottery but I might like Jones more because he can get up despite only having a 7'1" wingspan.

New my top three defenders (post-lottery) to draft in this class are:

1. Usman Garuba, Real Madrid
2. Deuce McBride, West Virginia
3. Kai Jones, Texas

Warming up to Garuba. McBride doesn't look athletic enough to be better than Delon. Cooling on Kai Jones.

What about Franz Wagner? He seems like a 6'9 McCaw that can shoot.

I'm liking Keon Johnson more than I did before. Imagine they say Keontae Johnson instead? I guess that's why they say from the University of so and so.

In a must-win game for the Ignite check out how the young guns (minus Kuminga) performed:

I know others like him as well but Isaiah Todd is definitely on my top 5 choices for our pick with Christopher and Bouknight. After those 3, I like Ayo and Kai Jones. I really like his shooting mechanics. Looks like he could become capable of playing either forward position. Truly believe he could play alongside OG and Pascal, just would prob put Siakam defending the SG since he has the footspeed but the length everywhere would be great (same goes with Johnson and Barnes).

I just somewhat favor Christopher or Bouknight because I really believe the team needs someone who can develop into a go to scorer. I think talent and skills are there with some development with them and of course it's a natural fit with as it's still a position more up for grabs and it's rare in today's game to make your C the go to guy but more importantly I don't see a big prospect in our range who may become that....but maybe with Todd's shooting ability they can get more out of him than expected.

Right now assuming where somewhere between 15-20 my board would be...

Hopeful falls:
Scottie Barnes
Jalen Johnson

Just praying is still there:
Christopher
Bouknight
Todd

Still be pretty happy with:
Ayo
K-Jones

Todd is hopefully a healthier, only slightly worse version of Michael Porter Jr. I would be cool with that.

Geez, Tankathon finally has Todd at #60.

http://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft

They have him listed at 6'10, 210 lbs! If that's legit without shoes, then buy buy buy! He's still 19 1/2 so maybe grown another 1/2 inch?

Let's hope the 905 knock them out so he doesn't have a chance to raise his stock too high.

I'd rather pass the ball to Todd right now than Siakam for a winning shot.

Todd is a lottery pick and I'm happy to be driving the bandwagon, but let's not over project what he is at the moment. He's primarily a jump shooter, and shoots a bit too much (almost 1 shot every 2 minutes which is more than Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, or even a guy like Cade Cunningham who's the only real option on his team), and he needs to get to the line more.

People though Pokusevski would be lottery too and he has better handles. I could see him get drafted early 20's, possibly between where Poksevski and RJ Hampton were drafted.

I'm fine with waiting 2-3 years like with Siakam and have Todd win with the 905. On the 905 he could continue to the the #1 option instead of behind Green and Kuminga.

There were mocks that had him go around 10-15 if I recall.

2 weeks ago SI had Todd at #54. I can see a lot of mocks revise his position to early 2nd.
