They rarely ever did, but in the 2nd Guilded Age? No way.

You're flip-flopping again

Trump might pay, but the wife of the most powerful senator in the USA? Nope.

the man Mitch blocked from SCOTUS is about to take the reins at the DoJ so if she is clearly guilty and it is a relatively clean case to make then you're probably wrong

We shall see.

Trump has dangerous fans among the unwashed, so even the Repugnicants want him gone, just under cover.

Mitch and his wife? They are just doing normal politician stuff by today's standards. No one in power cares or sees it as wrong.

Sen. “Johnson” is, true to his last name, a dick head.

Remember how I mentioned there was an insurrectionist involved in planning 1/6 who had their own telecomm and volunteered to provide a non-public network for text relays? Yeah, sounds like they are well into investigating that now too

An insurrection on US soil was taken so lightly by the Republican(the real Americans) party. God blessed America and these sinners besmirched her.
Lol naw they are just terrible hypocrites who want to hurt others without consequences more than they want to progress, even for themselves.

8 Democrats sank the $15 minimum wage hike. It got defeated by these scumbags. And thanks Kamala for not doing your job.

Even if kamala removed that person these clowns weren't going to vote on that package. Wouldve basically been a ceremonial move

Kamala just had to overrule the parliamentarian's ruling, which is in her powers and perfectly legal. She doesn't have to fire her. Republicans pull all this underhanded and illegal crap ALL THE TIME and we won't even use legal tools available to us.

Also, I disagree, these 8 Democrats would not have voted against the $1.9T package with everything else that's in it. Did you see the clip of Krysten Sinema give the NO vote. You need to see that.

I mean the framing is hilariously dishonest, but it’s fair if these are the Senators that people need to pressure if the filibuster is ever going to get eliminated for minimum wage. Progressive fire needs to be aimed here.

Kamala can’t just include it in there. They need 50 votes to override the parliamentarian or fire the parliamentarian and put one in that would allow it to be included. This is why overriding the parliamentarian was never a real thing because you couldn’t get 50 votes for minimum wage through budget reconciliation as you can see.

Got it. I just did some quick reading up on it. You are correct. There was nothing "dishonest" about my post. I was simply "mistaken."

So that's it for a $15 minimum wage. That's really sad in this country. I don't know what happened to Sinema. She was the most progressive Arizona state legislator before being elected to the Senate. Now she's gone all Sarah Palin on us.

That's sad that like 1/5 of the senators on our side don't want to raise minimum wage . When I said we'd need 55 senators to get rid of the filibuster I was apparently lowballing

The dishonest part wasn’t your post necessarily but the article framed it that Democrats voted against minimum wage. I’ve seen that framing all over Twitter and it’s borderline misinformation. What they voted for was against adding minimum wage to the reconciliation bill, the same topic that was already taken out of the bill and the parliamentarian said couldn’t be included. We knew it wasn’t going to pass so the vote was pretty meaningless, but that being said I don’t know why other Senators went on the record to vote against it when it’s a procedural vote. Really stupid politics, let Manchin and Sinema hang themselves out to dry on the issue. What needs to happen is that the House needs to pass a standalone bill and these 8 Senators need to get the same pressure Republicans did during the Kavanaugh hearing and threats of primaries. The whole procedural issue is explained better than I can below:

Right, I was confused by the media reports. It was a vote on the point of procedure re overruling the parliamentarian. I thought Bernie brought some stand alone bill to the floor. He did not.

Anyhow, do you know if these eight Democrats made any statements on the floor about their votes, to wit, "I'm simply voting 'Nay' based on procedural grounds but I fully support an increase to $15. I'll vote 'Yes' in a stand alone bill"? Because, if not, then that's bad.

Let's face it, if these 8 Dems won't vote to overrule a parliamentarian, they certainly are not going to vote to nuke the filibuster.
